On a more technical question what's the best shop for buying a good laptop at a good price in Snooky or the Penh? The prices and specs look a lot better in BKK but not sure that it's worth the trip. So far the ones in Snooky are wimpy performers and overpriced. It's mostly for poker and the usual computer stuff, but I might play Entropia Universe or Second Life for a diversion and both require good video cards.

Yeah but I think the point is more that its pretty unlikely she earns more than a few hundred/month, where $6/day is $180/month means it is a massive amount of money for her. Where Im guessing you have a decent income, disposable cash and some kind of savings in whatever form, I would expect she is more or less living day to day. So the comparison isnt too valid.

For the average Cambodian, $6 represents several hours worth of wages, although I assume hookers earn more than average job, it would still be a significant amount for her.
