Bedbugs/Fleas etc can travel in fabric. E.G. if you had some girl who had bedbugs in her room, brings her handbag or whatever and puts it in your room, presto you have bed bugs. They are pricks of things and very hard to get rid of.

thats certainly true spiv, but again why would they only bite my hands and feet?

no pain when i walk, definitely feels like on the right track to this being over and boom booming again (obv thats all im concerned about)

internet at my hotel has been pretty awful recently, stubbornly i was trying to play on it so i could continue to download some torrents, i raise AA42 one suit get 2 callers flop comes 873 with 2 of my suit, i cbet 5600 other calls guy with 5900 total goes all in its 300 to me i hit call and............. and............. and............. disconnected, just staring at the screen not knowing if the call got in as i look at my nut nut nut nut nut nut hand with like 98% of the guys bet already in, gladly i got back in time plus the call was already in but that was a tense 30 seconds

gonna go pay $10 for the "Y5net" internet that i heard is good just to check it out for a month, still really pisses me off that i cant get on the hotel next to me's internet even though others can from here, i guess they blocked me but that totally seems pretty unlikely

saw what im pretty sure were a few hundred bats flying around outside of the back of my hotel today, definitely looked like bats at least

shack girl calls me up to see if i wanna boom boom tonight, i tell her no im still sick i dont wanna get you sick she says thats ok she'll still come.... so i had her lick my feet and stuck my hands in her mouth while i did her doggy

when chopping a tourney is ICM better for the small stacks and chip count better for big stacks? or vice versa?
Living in Cambodia and turning Pro Quote
12-16-2012 , 04:53 PM
Favors big stack a lot
Living in Cambodia and turning Pro Quote

one of them favors big stack more though, you know which?

In general a chip chop will favor the big stack a lot more then ICM will.

How can you play mostly tourneys and not understand how icm works? (I say this as your friend).

Sounds like someone needs to do some research.

I would bet that ~3-5% of the field in an average $55 fo on stars has anything over the most basic understanding of ICM. MTT players suck etc.

wow, like 5 hours ago i made a post in here, came back and saw it wasnt saved, typed it up again added something new and once again it didnt save!!!!

so cliffs on the first parts:

mixgame - i have an idea of ICM, i read about it 5 years ago, but once youve played 10,000 sngs and whoever knows how many final tables ive been at that stuff is just second nature imo so no i couldnt give you an exact definition of it

1aday - is that only for cambodia? if i move to PI could i use it there? i would need to buy some USB wifi thingies right? seems like a good idea

got the "Y5net" internet, just bought a weeks worth for $3, glad thats all i got because its not stable at all within first 30 mins of playing on party it disconnected twice, so much for that being my savior

someone on another forum said when he was in cambo he got the bumps on his hands and feet went to the doctor and they came to the conclusion he got it from playing with a puppy, well cute hotel chick brought her dog up here last week and i played with it for a couple hours a day or three before i broke out, that would make the most sense.......... doctor gave him some cream it went away in a few days, mine is definitely clearing up so no need to get the cream now

new rubberless girl calls me up tonight, last i saw her was a lil over 2 weeks ago the nights before i found out about my money situation, i told her about my money issue and id let her know when it was resolved, then i texted her 4 nights in a row when i got it worked out she didnt respond (not unusual for her) then i got sick so didnt text her for a bit (saw her at the beach with another guy one night when i went on quick beach walk)

anywaaays not sure what she called about i have a really hard time understanding people on the phone if they speak good english let alone azn chicks that speak..... then at one point she mentions that i told her i was gonna do something and never did it, im like well what was it and ill do it now and she says she doesnt wanna talk about it

so i ask well are you mad at me because of this and she just repeats that i said id do something and didnt do it, again she wont tell me what it is, i rack my brain and cant come up with anything, i may do stupid stuff now and then but my memory is incredible, and its even better when it involves people i care to remember, and this girl would be close to the top of my people i care to remember list right now so im 99% sure i never told her id do anything and then failed to do it

so wwwwwwtttttttffffff is she talking about, i asked her if she was mad enough that she didnt want me asking her to come over anymore and she said that its fine if i keep smsing her but still........ why do the hottest ones have to be so much drama

Hi Iao. I live in the UK (Reading), and have been thinking for sometime about moving abroad and going pro too. Having read this post Sihanoukville sounds perfect. Me and my friend are seriously considering moving there, maybe sometime around february. My friend is taking a career break, but I'd be interested in moving there indefinitely. Obviously there's a lot I'd like to know. I don't know if you'd care to get in touch?

Thanks,

Peter

really good poker night

chopped $33 hi low on stars

got 2nd in $6 hi low rebuy on party

got 8th or 9th in $11 holdem rebuy on party

got 13th in $11 holdem rebuy on stars, kinda stings getting so close to the final table on this one but im open shoving my 12bb stack in the sb every time with K9o, made a lay down a round before when a uber nit min raises utg+1, big stack shoves in a huge stack on the button and i had 9s in the sb........ coulda called but was worried about the nit so i fold, he ends up folding and big stack shows AK........ wish i could have that one back with how it ended but still think it was the right thing to do, though really could go either way tough spot

$9300ish not counting full tilt monies

with the 9s i only had an M of 7ish at the time so i needed to be looking to take a shot, but you are right folding was the right thing to do, was just one of those where u bust a few hands later and in hindsight wish you woulda taken that race

overheard some people saying they were going to the snakehouse and bringing live chickens with them to feed the crocs

sigh i think there is some sort of rule that once a month i have to eat something that gives me food poisoning that gives me a fever so it makes sleep hard and then the power must go out so i have to lay in bed sweating my ass off not being able to sleep

i almost stabbed this girl who works at my hotel who is basically my best friend over here because she comes and knocks on my door no more than 5 minutes after i finally fell asleep (after laying/sweating for 5 hours, i had just started my dream) because she wanted to see if i wanted to play pool and it was after the time i usually wake up

today would be the 2nd worst ive felt the entire time ive been over here, contemplated taking the day off from poker (only done that once before when i felt even worse than today) but instead im just gonna mess around in some low buy in omaha tourneys to kill time

sorry for all the whoa is me im so sick this sucks talk but ugh its been a rough week

wow my day just went from sucks for today to sucks for the future........ party changed their tourney schedule and took away the hi low rebuy that i totally crushed (got 2nd in it yesterday)

it was without a doubt my most profitable tourney, my ROI in it had to be insane

now all they have is 6 max PLO instead.......... i seriously wanna cry thats like $800 a month (solid guess) out of my pocket

Thanks mate (sounds like you're living a pretty crazy life out there )

1) Is it possible - and if so how much would it cost roughly in $ - to rent a 2 person apartment/house with decent reliable mod-cons? (eg broadband, air-conditioning, hot water)

2) Is an income from internet poker in any way likely (eg transferring funds into the country?) to be a legal issue?

3) Are the locals generally friendly?

4) Is English likely to serve me ok as my only language?

5) Are there many expats and/or westerners passing through?

6) Just generally, (as a westerner from a lower middle-class background) what are the differences I'm likely to have difficulty adjusting to?

7) Are there any other places you've been that you'd recommend above Sihanoukville to live? (Budget probs extends to $1500 p/m max)

8) Anything else you think I should know?

Sorry for the long-ass list. No rush lol.

sorry, 9) Is there any chance I'd be able to rent somewhere for around 4 months, or on a month-by month basis?
Living in Cambodia and turning Pro Quote
12-19-2012 , 12:12 AM
1) 200-500 USD a month

2) No

3) Yes, very friendly.

4) You can easily get by with only english, but you need to have some patience from time to time. Goes for most parts of Asia.

5) Yes, in some areas of town there a plenty of westerners. In other areas there are very few. You can meet a lot if you wish, or you can avoid the tourist spots if you wish.

6) Adjusting to living here is not a problem. The main problem, almost everyone faces, is adjusting to life back home when they return.

7) Depends what you are looking for. Sihanoukville suits me perfect as a married man with a family. Its quiet and I like that the beaches are not yet spoiled by a zillion tourists. In 15 minutes you can get to the "real" Cambodia.
The place is too boring for most younger people that wants to party, and be able to go out and do something several times a week. There is something to do here, but after a short while you have seen it all. I think most people will actually enjoy Thailand more. At least until they get tired of the touristy side of life and wants something more genuine.

8) Like all of Asia, life is easy here. And arriving here on a flight ticket and explore by yourself is easy as well. Just bring your passport and a credit card and see where life takes you. If you find a place you enjoy, settle down for a while.

9) Yes, you can find that. Availiability is not as high as in fx Thailand. It's a rather new thing to be able to rent on a month-by-month basis, or short term contracts. But more and more pop up every month.
