gotta say wabby not saying anything about it meaning i have a legitimate increased likelihood of HIV makes me feel a lil better (though i really didnt think that had anything to do with it before)
Of course it is not related to HIV as it will take at least 3 years from infection with HIV until your immune system is weakened.

But if you really want my opinion, then remember that the odds of you getting infected with HIV while having this disease may be 100x what it is if you did not have this.

i always like to get your opinion even if we disagree on a couple things i know you know your stuff and always give good advice

particularly like to get your advice on serious stuff like random diseases with weird names that havent been around a long time that i dont know a damn thing about

what spiv quoted then saying dont boom boom followed by what pooter said confused me.......... because what spiv quoted is "its easier for someone with an immune deficiency to get this disease"

then he says dont boom boom, which i think he meant what you were just saying, that i shouldnt boom boom now cuz i will be more likely to pick something up, but thats not really what the quote meant........... and then followed by what pooter said....... guys plz dont mess with my crazy head like that

That hand to mouth disease takes a few days maybe a week for that kind of thing to run its course. I would wait it out just to make sure your immune system is ok.

After this thing has run its course you can boom boom without condom again just make sure you go to a clinic that you are sure gives good medical service.

Make sure you and your partner both go. I agree, if they offer you pills they probably are not reputable. But if they only do HIV test clinic is OK.

If the results are ready in five minutes thats good because they have technology.

It's the other way around, the rapid tests (30 minutes to results) have been developed for third world countries where good laboratories are not available.

An important thing to remember is, that even the best tests are only reliable if they are performed quite some time after a possbile infection. To quote wiki:
Quote:
It may take several months after HIV infection for the antibody response to reach detectable levels, during which time rapid testing for antibodies to HIV will not be indicative of true infection status. For most people, HIV antibodies reach a detectable level after two to six weeks.
For anybody in dante's situation to take a HIV test with meaning, you would have to stop the barebacking for 1.5 months (better more).

What I meant is that I wouldn't boom boom her, because her having this disease means an increased likelihood she has HIV, and/or is much more likely to catch it.

aw ok, fwiw i dont boom boom this girl just a friend who works here and i talk to a lot, not even sure i got it from her because its not what she had, or at least she didnt have any of the hand/foot stuff, but she was sick and i was in range of her coughs a little to often

im not at all worried about this being HIV related, it has nothing to do with that, it has to do with me being given a POS body from the start

i feel fine, up until i went to bed the only real negative was that it hurt to walk, but then as im lying in bed trying to sleep (which always takes me at least 30 minutes to fall asleep) a new and bigger issue shows itself

ITCHING

and this isnt like a mosquito bite where if you ignore it it goes away, if you just lay there it gets worse and worse

i noticed that when the bumps were in contact with something the itching wasnt as bad, and it was the feet that itched the worst by far so i put socks on and that helped a little but not enough

so for 5 hours i toss and turn getting literally zero minutes of sleep, i decide i will just get up because that was pretty much hell even though i dont have a clue wtf im gonna do for an extended day, but somehow i end up in the fetal position, and for unexplained reasons when lying like that the itching almost completely went away and i was finally able to get some sleep

got some more bumps on the hand but not that many more and i dont feel sick at all, hopefully i only got a few more days of this left

one lil bright spot in this is that its happening on the best NFL week of the season, there are 5 excellent games this week

giants @ falcons
packers @ bears
broncos @ ravens
pitt @ dallas
SF @ NE

plus indy @ houston isnt bad

so i at least have something to do at night to get me through this no boom boom time

"HFMD usually affects infants and children, and is quite common. It is moderately contagious and is spread through direct contact with the mucus, saliva, or feces of an infected person. It typically occurs in small epidemics in nursery schools or kindergartens, usually during the summer and autumn months. The usual incubation period is 3–7 days.

It is less common in adults, but those with immune deficiencies are very susceptible. "

So if that girl did not have any blisters yet you probably got it from someone else that you have been in even closer contact with, and that got the blisters after she left your room.

If the itching continues like muscito bites and intensifies on legs and arms and even testicules (pretty much everywhere except face), it may be early signs of scabies.
Incubation period is 3 weeks and through close physical contact. Not all persons have the same excessive reaction. The more allergic a person you are the more itching to those eggs below your skin.

ok just incase it turns out to be scabies what do you do? just go to a dr?

so far these are only on hand and feet

can mark shack girl off the possible suspects list, she just got back from phnom penh tonight i had told her on the phone she shouldnt come over cuz im sick she says ok........... then i get a knock on my door i tell her she shouldnt come in she says she wants cookies (oreos)

she came over here to grab a few oreos and leave, she also told me that what i have are just bug bites and its not possible to get bumps on your hand from being sick

so there you have it its all been an overreaction these are just bug bites

typical third world mentality to tell it's bug bites as
a) their behavior are then not responible
b) action towards solving it can be nihil as it's just moscito bites that will go away by themselves

if it's scabies (itching occuring more at night and getting generalized), try to go to a french sponsored clinic and get samples tested in lab, and if confirmed, either / or both these french medicines :
- daily body lotion Ascabiol for 5 days straight with no washing (followed later by cortisone cream to do away with the skin irriation that it generates)
- Stromectol (pills) : one time 6 of them for 80 kg weight (about 2 more for each 10 kg weight, one box contains 4) EDIT : REPEAT ONE TIME AFTER TWO WEEKS

After treatment, it will still itch for two months but scarves will no longer be visible if treated and parasite died in your body. You will have to disinfect everything but mainly your matras and bed linen and wash all clothes to 60°c and better to get another room altogether.

Good luck man, that is seriously incomfortable **** and you infect all with whom you have close bodily contact or share your bed (basically only yum yum for 2 months away from your bed)

Hey Kick2dante,

Im a long time lurker. Have read here since the start, and visited Cambodia before. I hate to say it, but its Karma coming to you man. Your gonna get ****ed over really bad in one way or another. Everyone here knows it, you seem to know it and not care.

If you just tweak your life a little bit, like using better decision making 10% of the time, I think you'll find life a lot more meaningful. Get out and travel a bit. You've been in Cambodia for however long and you havent left your little area.

Good luck with everything

im very bad man always doing mean things to everyone i come in contact with, and if i had traveled and seen siem reap by now this never would have happened (obviously, god punishes those that dont travel and instead choose to stay in one place)

bernie with the scabies talk and some google searching has me scared ****less A) because it sounds like a b1tch to get rid of and B) because id have to sit on a bus to and from phnom penh which the thought of makes me want to cry

although i think its highly unlikely i could get something like scabies and have it start in 4 places so far apart as both hand and both feet

really hoping the fetal position trick does the job of not making my feet itch again, hopefully just a few more days to go

Scabies is not that bad, almost every kid gets it at school. If you are itchy between your fingers then scabies is most likely. What you have sounds to me like it might even be bedbugs or fleas, neither of which would be surprising in a cheap Cambodian hotel. It's a common affliction of backpacker hostels.

I got scabies when i stayed in a dirty bedsit back in the uk when i was 17. All i remeber was using cream once a day after showering and it was gone in under 2 weeks, no probs at all really.

Unless there are different strains and it would make sense some cambo variant might be worse. Whatever it is the longer you leave it the worse it will be.

How long is bus ride from pp to snook?

if its bedbugs why would i just be getting it now? and why would it only be on my hands and feet? ditto scabies

not saying it isnt possible, but these bumps are 100% only on my hands and feet, there are one or two by my mouth but the beard is pretty out of control so not sure if they are the same or just a normal pimple

being that im in a country where hand, foot and mouth disease is somewhat prevalent and that my symptoms match it pretty much to a T im still thinking that is what ive got

bus from PP to snooki is roughly 5 hours maybe a lil less, sure i could do it but i hate travel (which is why god keeps punishing me i guess)

no itching at all last night, hands dont look any worse today i think they might even look a lil better so maybe im on the upswing
