So I concluded my research for going to Phnom Penh from HCMC for one day. Posting maybe for others to use/see and for any suggestions any might have. I am traveling with a companion so discos and such arnt much of interest unless its a must see/visit.
Good bus companies for the trip-
Sinh Tourist, Sorya Transportation, Sapaco Tourist, Kumho E&C - 10usd 6 hrs
average tuk tuk prices 1.5-2.00
If any one can recommend decent low cost hotel. I just want it to be clean and not too old. If not, Ill just go to the below street as I've read it has a lot of bargain and friendly staff.
hotels - Street 258, nearby Tonle Sap river - 8-12 usd fan/ac
Usd is widely used but always good to know
1usd = 4,000 KHR riel
52,000 vnd = 10,000 riel

Can anyone tell me if its possible to break hundreds easy at gold shops/resturants as I wouldnt want to give a hundred to some place and get cheated. I will be bringing as much low denominations I can but its limited.
Also does anyone know if there is some limit on liqueur/smokes and other things we are allowed to bring into VN?
