I'm a bit busy, and especially lazy tonight... gonna assume just about anyone who reads this forum has already read this, so I'm not going to clean it up.

If anyone thinks a post should be deleted please report it.

As a bigot, homophobe, racist and misogynist person, I take it as a personal failure to don't be included in that list. WTF

I really have no idea what's going on there, but it's an internet forum, wtf? Some peeps tend to take things way too seriously. Also I would really like to return to Cambodia, dam quarantine, I'm back as soon as it's gone (on both sides)

We got a covid scare the other day when some woman who showed up at Aeon Mall turned up positive. So they've shut the main mall down, the Phnom Penh Hotel (I assume she was staying there) and the schools again for a couple of weeks. This one has really affected people and a lot of people are staying inside this time. My friends and I went to one of our favorite restaurants the other night and it was near empty. I just got back to my condo from Secrets Bar and they hardly had customers as well. And just now as I was coming up the elevator, two people waiting with me refused to get in but said they would wait for the next one. All of the previous cases were nearly all imported from elsewhere with people arriving at the airport coming up sick. But I guess it's freaked people out to have someone just show up smack in the middle of the mall with this thing. It's just a small taste of what everyone else in the world is going through but I still can't wrap my head around it. In either case, life is still fairly normal for us. We work/grind and then go out for food and drinks like always. I fu*ked off the girl I was seeing and told her to move out of the condo as she was starting to take advantage. I don't understand these girls because all they have to do is the same thing when we sit on a table full of massive whales; just don't be ******ed and fu*k it up. Oh well. A couple of videos from our nights out at Secrets Bar. Customers not coming out just means more girls for us.

We had our first community transmission about a week ago when a woman entered Aeon Mall and came up with a hot temperature. She was subsequently tested, which came up positive, and then they tested a bunch of others with 30 more showing to have covid. So the government has imposed a limited lockdown of every place where the positive tests came up. So they closed the mall for a bit but now is back open. Schools are still closed but Nagaworld continues to run. None of this really affects our lives except the fact that the police closed up all the girlie bars a couple of nights ago indefinitely. A few places tried to reopen but unsuccessfully and only one place has stayed open. That is Secrets Bar of course because they are technically a restaurant/cafe and have a license as such and they haven't ordered these sorts of establishments closed yet. They also rescinded the sponsoring of visitors by businesses and are now requiring everyone to pay the $2,000 deposit and stay in a government mandated hotel for a 2-week quarantine. That really sucks for all of the local businesses here as a lack of tourists continues to affect everyone. Still, life goes on for us and we just got back from Secrets about an hour ago. I didn't come home empty handed of course as I took the girl in the video below who was seated directly to my left.

I've created another thread in the PG&C section as I wanted to discuss things outside the scope of Cambodia a bit. But I will continue to post here as well and answer any questions although I realize that may be limited due to the travel restrictions. For those of you who are already here, Secrets remains the only bar open on the riverside, at least openly. Other bars are slowly coming back online, albeit with their lights off. Just check your messages and I'm sure for those that have a list of numbers the girls are already texting you to come by. Restaurants remain open and are actually giving great deals as they are desperate for business during the semi-lockdown. Mara Steak is doing there Tuesday steak night every night now. The Robin Island Ribeye, normally $65, is now going for only $45.50 every night.

Are there still any tournament regs left in Cambodia with good mindset to hangout and discuss poker with or just cash regs?

Hey guys apologies if a question similar to this has been asked already, just wondering how taxes are paid in Cambodia. The front page mentions a 0% tax rate on gambling. But given that online poker is considered illegal in Cambodia I would assume the government would expect taxes in one form or another from a person living year round in Cambodia.

Just wondering how this is all done, is there money laundering going on? Or do you just declare all winning as being won at a live venue?

Once again apologies if this has been asked, but I'm considering moving to Cambodia to pursue a professional online poker career and just need to know the ins and outs.

The short answer is nobody pays or files anything. There is no income tax in the classical sense anyway. Also the govt is not like functional 1st world govts, they are just a bunch of crooks who are mainly interested in diverting as many funds as possible into their own pockets. But expats they leave alone, for now at least, to go after them would be -EV, everybody would just leave to Thailand or wherever. Just stay under the radar, don't get involved in politics and if you can, cash out in BTC or other not easily traceable stuff, then chances are you will be fine until the govt evolves to a higher level which will probably take a long time.

Someone had asked on my YouTube channel to post an update here on the general state of things in Cambodia. Yesterday there was a new community outbreak in which 32 people tested positive for Corona. Apparently two people serving a two week quarantine bribed someone to escape from the hotel then they ended up infecting a bunch of people. I won't comment on the veracity of all this but people are not reacting in the same way as the last outbreak. They did check my temperature for the first time in weeks at my condo today, but the gym and pool were still open and so seem everything else in town. Nonetheless it is still difficult to get here although some have found a loophole by traveling to Korea and getting a visa there. Everyone and their uncle seems to be opening a live poker room in Phnom Penh lately. I've been asked by a few to "participate" but given the quality of people running the rooms these days I rather not get grouped in with these clowns. My agency is crushing, I'm crushing and so are all of my core friends, albeit online. I don't feel the need to get mixed up in this mire. The riverside is thinning out in terms of customers so it's still a buyer's market. Although the economic state of things have made some of the girls desperate and the level of lying and cheating have reached new levels. More and more players are getting involved in crypto, although I don't know how many of them actually know what they're doing. I have no idea and I'm much too busy anyway so I rather not get involved in something that completely escapes my comprehension at this point. It's 1:30 AM here so about to head out and meet Big Bananas after an exacerbating session in which I lost $38. Undoubtedly I will take it out on some poor bar girl.

With regards to the sick, this is terrible. But this can happen in any country. Now there are no restrictions, but this may change tomorrow.

How did I get this information in time

Looks exactly like the old one except they trumped up the price by 5USD (processing charge was lower as well IIRC). But when you click the link:

Quote:
Support Document(s)
Health Insurance
All supporting documents such as (letter of invitation, letter of employment, letter of sponsorship, letter of Labor contract, investment project, patent certificate).
Passport validity of more than six months balance at the time of entry, a recent passport-size photo in digital format (JPEG or PNG format), a valid credit card (Visa/MasterCard).
So I suppose still no tourist entries, probably still quarantine also

There are very few people coming here right now as there are tons of restrictions. The biggest one is of course the $2k deposit that is required upon entry and 2 week quarantine. We're in the midst of a curfew anyway where no one can go outside between 8 00 PM and 5 00 AM. The bars are shut and have been for weeks. We were one of the last few "normal" places left but now it seems the pandemic has finally hit here.
