The 'juicyness' should be equal with swings to both sides. But you have to consider the higher rake on the one and the lower living costs on the other. The outcome should be equal.

Me personally consider Vegas as one of the worst places to play poker unless you need action on highstakes (20/40+). From my experience it's way too much competition even on 2/5. You have 5/10 games 5 hours west that have even better quality.

getting tired of the rat race in Vegas, make anywhere from 4500 a month and when I was playing tournament highest was 17400, about 150 hr per month.
What would someone make in Cambodia. Looking at there and the Philippines.
How do you do? $30-$50 hr possible at 2/5 5/10 or is it crazy with big swings?
rake is terrible in cambo and some of the games in thailand. the
only way to make very good money anywhere in the world playing poker is private games. there are some in Asia but they will be BIG and infrequent. for example there might be a 25/50/100usd game once every other week that rakes same cap as the 2/5 game at the casino AND the game will be much juicier...but then it might not run for a month or 2 if a whale loses too much.

unless you are used to living a budget lifestyle i think grinding in cambo is a terrible option.

I really appreciate your input. But I was really interested in hearing from someone who is living there and grinding it out and living their life in SE Asia.

I know the rake is sick and nothing like I am use to, I remember when it went up to $5 from $3 and all the low level grinders were saying it could not be beaten.

I have search youtube to see if the poker blogs have made it over yet, no good ones.

But you live or have lived there, I would like to hear those stories and experiences.

Hi all,

Been reading 2+2 for a while, but as you can see this is my first post. I'm moving to Phnom Penh for at least a year in August, and was wondering if any of the regular posters on here who have offered assistance to others about apartments would be happy for me to send them a message?

Thanks, see you on the tables soon

Anyway, thank you for the offer, and I will hopefully be able to take you up on it soon!

So to introduce myself, I've been living and working in another SE Asian country for the last 6years, and have been playing live poker on and off here for about 3years. Rake is 10% uncapped, which is easily beatable given how soft the lineups are. If anyone is interested to know where this is, let me know - however games only run Fri/Sat, and visas are a problem, which I guess is why it's not on any lists or blogs of where to pay.

I hope to settle ok in Cambodia, both in poker and life - I'm used to not fantastic dealers, non-English speaking tables and smoke filling the air. I've never been a full-time poker player, or relied on it as my source of income, so I'm looking forward to this new stage in life. Been playing online for 15years, so I hope not to be the new fish in town.

I genuinely wish you good luck and feel free to hit me up when you get to the country. And don't worry about being the new fish. If you've survived 15 years online I'm sure you'll do just fine.

Yep 10% uncapped sounds hard to beat even on an ideal table. Even Goa had some caps IIRC although astronomical

anyone know any other good options to withdraw from online to ABA bank?

Party was quite solid, but not really an option anymore since the changes they made recently.

I guess it's Sri Lanka. No safe country atm Living in Cambodia and turning Pro. They offer free hotel and even flights. Most of these games should be beatable. Otherwise they wouldn't run. The question is by what hourly in comparison to the variance you are facing.

anyone know any cambodians (Girls) who would be keen on a job in July?

basically cook food/buy food from store, buy water and w/e else supplies I would want for grinding.

Prob pay like $15/day for it, seems quite generous for cambo standards, prob would only end up working like 1 or 2 hours/day fwiw.

legit job also, no weird sex stuff going on.

Good day.
Sorry for my bad english. I am from Belarus and want to visit Phnom Penh again. Three years ago in Riverking there was a good game NLH 1/2/4. In Nagaworld the game was boring and very slow. Riverking changed place as I understood it. Is the game good there now? Are there new places with a good game 2/5, 5/10 in Phnom Penh?

1/3 at RK from like midday to 4pm is hit and miss. sometimes its good, sometimes nitty/reggy. After 4pm it gets quite wild pretty much every session i have played there.

as far as 2/5+ i think its all but dead in PP but havn't played much live for a month or so.

Thanks for the answer. 1/3 how is deep in the middle of the game? What is the percentage of regular players at the tables?

Besides Riverking is there any other places to play?
