Live poker in Vietnam questions - Page 2

Hey guys,

I ll be in Vietnam for the next 3 years. I would like to know more about cash games if anyone is there for the moment. If not, I will figure it out and please do not hesitate to ask me.
I am a PLO seeker so I know it is not always easy to find those games but I ll do my best.

I recommend you search facebook for poker rooms in the city you will be living in. Many rooms have facebook pages and they are usually up to date. Most post info about the games running daily.

*bump* heard a horror story of korean player spending 3 mo in jail so don't wanna play the underground games here...

are there any legal cash games in the south?

What's the highest public games that currently run in Danang or VN in general? Can you get good action on 10/20 USD sometimes?

The short story is, there are no legal cash games in VN. It's all underground

Win poker runs lower stakes.

Rose poker does 2/5 usd or sometimes 5/10 usd. It is irregular. Search Rose Poker Danang on facebook.

Golden Bay had 5/10 usd or higher but lately I think no game there. Not sure.

KR poker player gets caught playing in private game. Could have paid 10k USD fine but lawyer advised him not to. Ended up sitting in jail 3 mo.

Have talked to some locals and found underground games but they play a bit high for my roll + added risk of imprisonment so going to skip out on them for now.

WPT in HCMC was cancelled, would have been ongoing, and APT in DaNang just got delayed until the fall.

Talked to a local player who said all public games are closed because of the virus and only underground exists.

I'm considering going to Vietnam for a few months but I'm a little confused about the cash game situation.

•Is it true all cash games are illegal? (even if they are at a legit casino/cardoom)?

•I'm not interested in playing in underground games. Is cash game poker in vietnam not possible?

Crown Poker Club in Hanoi seems like the place to play. Looks very professional and has a high rating on google maps with decent sample size. No idea if they have cash games, most of the pictures seem to be of tournaments.
