I'm a live poker pro who's been studying French for the past 2 years. I'm seeking advice on live poker in French speaking areas. Any prospective French speaking country, province or territory is fine.

Hey man, good to hear from you.

Admittedly I didn't look all that hard in France, but from what I gather poker is pretty rare there, and even if it can be found, rake is pretty substantial. Paris, I think, is trying to make a comeback with their poker clubs so might be an option in the future.

I think you said you've been in Montreal, so as you know, The Playground there is a great option, maybe as good as you'll find in a French speaking city.

I'll ask around and see if I can find any other leads.

You could try this website as a starting point. No clue if it's accurate or not, but it claims that there's 1 poker room in Brussels now. Looks like it runs 2/4 Euro NLHE often.

Yep, you can find it in Paris, maybe other cities in France or the French-speaking part of Switzerland, but the rake tends to be pretty absurd, like 5% uncapped or very high caps, something like that. Monaco I think stopped their cash games outside special events even before Covid.
