Depends on what you're studying though. If you're studying Islamic religion or the Bahasa Malaysia language, then it totally makes sense.

But for everything else though, it'll be weird to go to Malaysia to study since most Malaysians would snap at the chance to study in Canada.

Malaysia to study? Many Chinese and Africans do that.
But many whites come here to do cosmetic surgery .. so much cheaper than back home ..

I play using mobile thru DiGi, a mobile operator. It's pretty ok at night (european day time?), but tends to drop a bit during the day. still it's better than the fixed line connection from the government owned Telekom.

huge drawback is inability to transfer cash thru credit card or neteller ...

Follow the link at the top right that says "I want to join KLPR" and send them an email. I still get updates although I haven't played for a while so they should be still active.

The fixed line internet is great around KL/PJ, not too sure about other places.

You can withdraw using neteller or regular cheques (takes almost a month to cash though), and I'm pretty sure you can still use entropay to deposit.

I was doing some research lately about living in Malaysia.

I am looking for a place to rent for a longer time, near a beach, supermarket, banks and decent infrastructure.
Everything that i found online is about tourism and expensive Hotels, what i am looking for is to stay in a place for a long term not honeymoon or short term tourism.

If u guys know something about this, give me some recommendations, from where to start or where to look into.

Thx,
Maxx.

Thxs for the response.

I'll play at home, hopefully my housemates don't shop me. But what happens if I get caught: fine, jail, hand cut-off etc.

Didn't want to start a new thread so thought it would be best to ask in here:

What area of KL should I stay in? Looking for budget accomodation, near some lively bars, will probably do the Petronas towers, and would like to be in an area with some good restaurants.

For budget accommodation, try this: http://www.tunehotels.com in KL. It's a short walk to the train station, short taxi ride to night life areas, near the Twin Towers and right in the center of KL.
