Permanent vacation, work remotely from home part-time and no boss so you don't need a linkedin profile as you don't require anyone to read it (duh).

Benefits = no income tax

So if you had a popular tech blog, got free samples of stuff to review and made a bunch of contacts in the industry and then decided to reenter the tech work force all the contacts and time wouldn't mean anything?
Or are sex tourist blogs the only thing that exist?

Correct.

There are lots of 'clean' travel blogs that make the owner lots of money. Let alone other blog/sites that do extremely well.

Anybody know the visa situation for Bali for UK citizens. The embassy page does not fully explain if I can extend a tourist visa. From my understanding I can get a 60 day tourist visa in either my home country or if traveling around you can get 1 from the country you are visiting in.

You do not need a sponsor for the 60 day tourist visa, is this correct and can you extend it in Bali? What's the procedure? What's the cheapest way to do a visa run once you have to leave. Also how long maximum do you get before having to do a visa run?

Cheers lads!

You're right..

But there's two type of tourists visa(on arrival visa)
1.Completely free without a charge any amount

2.You have to pay $25ish for 30days(this one can be extended 30days)

Just go to the immigration office near the airport (if you stay in kuta)or the one in denpasar..Better go when your visa is 7days prior to end (the 1st day you land,is counted as day 1)
It only takes 1-2 days if i am not mistaken

"What's the cheapest way to do a visa run once you have to leave?"
I didn't get /understand this question

Thanks for taking the time, appreciate it.

When you say I'm right, what do you mean exactly? That I can get a day 60 tourist visa without a sponsor? If so do you know how many times I can extend this visa in Indonesia without leaving the country.

The visa run that I am talking about. Indonesia has set rules were a person must leave the country once he has extended his visa for the maximum amount of times (inside the country) but I don't know how many times you can do that.

For tourist visa, you don't need sponsor - and you can stay maximum 60days(where like i said, you need to have the on arrival visa with paying (usually there's a counter in the airport where you can buy the VisaOnArrival-this one can be extended)

1 visa 30 days - extend 30 days more so 60 days in total without have to leaving the country..

For Social Visa (with sponsor and etc) you can have maximum 180 days without leaving the country) that is the first 60 days and after that you can extend up to 4 times (@30days each)

This site explain it better:

if you want to stay for 60 days you need to get the 'visa on arrival' at the airport for $35, then extend after 1 month

if you dont do that you only get 30 days

The most common way is to pop up to Singapore for the renewal. There is no limit that i know of. The Indo embassy up there is not very efficient, so go early right when they open.

It is very easy to get a social visa. Just meet some local folks and get one of them to sponsor you.

Yup, that's everyone do in the past (either s'pore or Malaysia) and get another VOA - but since new policy comes up,you can stay up to 30days free(non extendable)or buy the VOA in the counter for $30ish but extendable 30days more

Never been to Thai..but I guess pretty much the same..as for prescription, you need to see doctor and have he/she prescribed you the drug..the cheapest in my experience, with good or better infrastructure is Yogyakarta, happens to be a student city..so things are cheap than the capital..PM me if you need more thorough info..I am gladly to answer and help the best that I can..FREE of Charge

^^ So I'm in Bali and can't play on any site. Only response from party so far has been the old uninstall/re-install option....

Can't even get on to the websites whether on 3g or any wifi.

So has it just been totally restricted lately? Thinking of moving on which really sucks.
