Alright long time lurker in these threads and decided that come next year I am going to grind my ass of to make my way to SEA for a extended trip with a view to setting up a home there long term.

So a little about me first then a few questions about where to go and stuff and genuine advice only try not to troll me to hard guys!

So in late 30's now deciding life here in Yorkshire, UK is pretty **** never had the drive or anything to better myself in life I have just survived on poker for the last 10 years instead of working.

It really doesn't provide me a good lifestyle other than it pays the bills and keeps me in food and clothes ( I have around 26k in tracked earnings live and prob double that in untracked smaller games ) most my money comes from live local games and the odd cash table.

I understand the basics of poker but have shocking BRM online and just love to buy into things and redeposit so come the 01/01/18 this changes!

Plan is to focus on cash games on the soft euro sites and try build a life fund in a year to at least move out there and continue to grind I have no commitments and if it does fail I can just rent a house and restart!

That said I have a $109 ticket to use on party so hoping to bink something huge and move this year LOLZZZ

So as I mentioned yesterday i have been somewhat of a lurker on this section of twoplustwo I have read the threads by K2D and peopleselbow not sure where these guys are now but its been a year since I read anything from K2D.

I have recently read infoshove thread about Manilla also is he now back home I kinda skipped the ending when it looked like he he had gone busto but still kept his dick lmoa!

So with out going into budget to much at this point in terms of value what are good places to visit in SEA pro's and cons would be super helpful as would any links to update guides that the more experienced members may have come across

What is your thread? Is it a challenge or goal to get out to SEA? If so poker goals and challenges is the correct sub forum, if it’s just to gain knowledge on SEA then ask your questions in the threads dedicated to each country.

Can’t really just have your own thread in the travel forum when you arnt really travelling or to ask pretty general things like ‘what are good places to visit in SEA’ unless ofc you’re actively travelling and post Hooker stories or are the loveable busto type.

I like the part of your plan where you're getting your online game in check prior to the move. So many of these guys don't realize that if you're not a winning player at home, you're sure as **** not going to do it in a third-world country .

Keep with that part of your plan - if you can fund a good part of your trip with winnings then you know that you're on the right track and are setup for success abroad.

Yup id agree with this, the live scene games in the UK are incredibly softer & easier to beat than online. GL in your journey hope you succeed.

By the same token I would assume the game in SEA is just as soft?

Thailand cheapest and best for online poker - good internet, comfortable accommodation. There are some underground live games in BKK but not that regularly.

Pattaya / Chiang Mai even cheaper if you go 100% online poker.

Manila expensive but there's live poker and it's fun girls wise. Cambodia cheap but undeveloped, not that fun girls wise. Well there's hookers but on a budget you should probably try for freebies. Check the Cambodia thread for info about the Riverking poker games.
