As stated I'll be headed back to Ubud, Bali February 2nd and planning to stay on and off for 6 months.

I'm hoping to meet some other poker players while I'm there to hang out with, play cards, and hopefully help me get me get to playing on Stars, 888, etc as I'm coming from the USA.

I'm in Seminyak, Bali now and the situation really sucks. They imposed a strict lockdown from July 3-20, then they extended it to July 25. They might just keep extending indefinitely - as they seem to like doing with tourism - or they might not; nobody really knows. I've heard rumors of riots being planned. The lockdown is really hurting lots of people.

Semi-related, there've been lots of reports of really harsh measures being taken against people who violate the lockdown. I've heard of foreigners being deported for things like being caught not wearing a mask, hanging out at a bar with locals, etc. Not sure if all of these reports are true, but I wouldn't be surprised.

So yeah, it sucks at the moment - but it could kinda go back to normal at any time. That's what happened last year. Here's hoping...

Just a reminder that you don't want to be in lawless 3rd world countries that extend the harsh treatment towards unconnected locals to unconnected 1st world people at this point.

If you want to roll up somewhere and expect to be treated as a human being by 1st world standards south east asia is not the place anymore.
