3 of us are looking to travel a bit this summer the Bahamas seems to be one of our top choices. Were definitely looking for a nice beach side all inclusive with a bar we can hit 24/7. Also the two people I'm traveling with are both female so near by shopping is a big plus. So if you have stayed in the Bahamas, what places would you recommend/not recommend and why.

Any input will be much appreciated!

Went to the WPT Battle for Season Pass II last December - this was held at the Cable Beach Resort in Nassau.

Not a bad place, but not great either - was undergoing some much needed renovation (think of early 80's Vegas resort style). That said, it was pretty cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for. There was a Sheraton Resort next door as well - this was a much nicer hotel, but unfortunately for both, there was nothing much to do within walking distance of the hotels, (distinct lack of bars / clubs / shops).

Most people (if not playing poker) went into town in the evenings (for aforementioned bars / clubs / shopping). Cost ~$10 in a taxi, so not exactly expensive.

If you can afford it, the best place without a doubt would be Atlantis... great hotel, lots to do, not that far to get into town.

Trust me if there a Club Med in your location they are sweet. I stayed at three now and all were the best vacations I had
