Trip report going blond for 3.5 months in the Philippines

I haven't been at the barber in 3.5 months - due to laziness, not because I liked the blond that much - so I've had a full 3.5 months worth of experience as a blond guy in PH. After 3.5 months it looked like this. The first day it looked like this. And before going blond it looked like this. So I've made a radical change from dark to blond hair and it's been quite the interesting experiment.

I got way more attention on the street than with dark hair, it almost felt like being in Asia for the first time all over again. However that attention for the most part didn't help with girls, it's just stares from girls and guys alike, nothing sexual but more like 'look at this alien' as I was the only blonde person in most places I went. Obviously girls were more likely to notice me, but when it came to approaching them they seemed more intimidated than with dark hair (probably because it makes me look weird and doesn't suit me at all). Would I recommend going blond to get more girls? No, unless it really suits you. Otherwise the extra attention is useless and you will just end up getting more beggars and children asking you for money.

I can't wait to get all the blond cut off but I'm glad I've made the experience.

I gotta say it, on this picture you really do look like some of my crackheads. Looking forward for Sunday steam.

Over the past year I've learned what jspill has been saying for a long time: in Asia it's best to just look like a normal white guy. No fancy haircut or beard, no printed shirts. Normal haircut, white or black t-shirt and keeping the rest simple work really well.

I mean (and I think it's the reasoning behind jspill's advice) as a white guy in Asia you already stand out to girls even if your style is basic. If you overdress or have a breaking bad beard it gets intimidating to them.

The first pic is daylight, the others aren't. I don't think there's any actual difference. The 'ghetto' isn't taking any toll on me, I'm living in a clean gated community and when walking through Pasig I've never been robbed or threatened or anything stressing me out. Pasig is poor but no ghetto.

So she said she's gonna be here 1am, but at 11:50pm she suddenly tells me she's gonna be here 12am. I haven't showered or cleaned my place yet and cleaning is a 40+ minute job because last time I've had a girl over was 1.5 months ago and I literally haven't cleaned my place in 1.5 months, it was super nasty. LB, you have to differentiate between indoor and outdoor streams. My internet at home can handle 1080p streaming, but obviousTROLL is talking about outdoor streaming (which I would like to focus on if I have the means). 4G coverage in the Philippines is known to be very bad but I haven't tested it yet. Today or tomorrow I'll get a $1 package for 1 GB/3 days to do some speed tests while walking around.

I've seen a phone gimbal for P5,000/$100 but I don't wanna invest that much starting out. It's a very worthwhile investment though that I should get asap if the 4G internet allows streaming.

Last night I've seen Cjayride stream going into a Taiwan nightclub, I would so much love to do that, stream my first time in a non-hooker nightclub in Manila all alone, but with Filipino 4G coverage it's questionable. The 4G test results will show in the next few days.
