I'm writing this from prison in Taguig, I got 5 years without parole for dealing drugs to make a living in Manila and getting caught. It's a very long story I'm about to go into great detail in this lengthy post. I'll have lots of time to think for the next 5 years.


Gotta love starting posts like that after 3 weeks of silence. I'm fine and a free man, writing this from Pasig as usual. Also not involved in drugs.

I have good and bad news regarding poker:

• The bad: Another 18 BI downswing has hit me in late November. I lost 13 BI at 60NL and took a failed 5 BI shot at 150NL.
• The good: This time the downswing hasn't affected my mindset or volume. In November I only had 1 day off, I kept grinding through all the coolers and it paid off as the downswing was followed by more rungood.

More bad news: My 60NL tracking and graph have been incorrect at the time of my previous post, showing about $300 too much winnings for some reason. It's fixed and 100% accurate now.

As far as girls go, I haven't handed out a single note in 2 months as my interest in Filipinas is at an all time low and my girlfriend's bedroom skills are at an all time high. She stopped complaining about 'too hard' or 'too deep', I can always ask her for a 40 minute BJ while I'm grinding poker, etc. It's a great change compared to the beginning of our relationship. Probably has something to do with me telling her I'm planning to move to another city or country in March (I told her 3 weeks ago).

The ratio has changed from 1:2 to 3:1. She really wants me to stay.

Booking at least a month in advance is advisable to save a couple hundred bucks in airfare and AirBnB costs if you go somewhere that is in higher demand like Tokyo. I recently decided against a last minute trip there for a visa run as everything had become too complicated and expensive flight and AirBnB wise when compared to a month before and I went elsewhere instead.

Your profit is pretty sad after so many months tbh. Maybe get a working holiday visa for Australia and grind out a farm job there to stack up on cash before you move elsewhere unless you catch a heater.

Working holiday in Australia is a good idea I've never considered before for some reason (probably because it has the word 'Work' in it). For sure sounds more attractive than working and saving up back home, though both options don't sound fun to me at all if I have an alternative (i.e. grinding online poker in my underwear all day, much better).

I don't think I'll need a heater, simply running at normal EV should make me enough money in the next 3 months (definitely not for Japan or Korea but to have a small life roll and afford a flight from Manila to Thailand or Cebu). This year's results sucked balls but I've doubled my monthly hours and centupled my quality of play since mid-2017 so to me this year's results aren't indicative of my current EV.

If however I do go on a heater (at 150NL or preferably 300NL) I can almost guarantee I'll go to Korea instead of wisely saving it.

That's some serious commitment on her part. And it seems cool but you really shouldnt be capable of being blown for 40 mins while grinding online if youre actually focusing.

Youre like 700+ hours in with just over 1k in profit playing relatively low stakes, something has to give. It's tough because you need $$ and youre in Asia but you need to spend more time studying and less time grinding. Something doesnt feel right.

At the very least, do the aussie trip and save up so you can grind without being staked.

Hopefully you go on a heater and can go to Korea but if youre still busto and don't mind living in Pasig, Cambodia might be a decent option. Girls arent as hot and youre not gonna find a "gf" that you dont have to support but it's something new.

It's true what you're saying about BJs while grinding and I try to make it the exception, but just knowing it's available anytime I want, even sitting at my laptop doing work related stuff, is pretty awesome.

I do review hands about 20 minutes everyday.

One advice not sure if it is happening on 2/4 maybe starts on 5/10+?? There is an epidemy of fake fish basically regs play HU with themselves to bump their stats firstly to get access to clubs that require high vip/pfr and secondly to cheat their stats against their opponents.

So at higher stakes you need to be super observant because most of the 60/40 40/30 even most of the 30/19, 32/17 guys aren't fish. They are just regs that played either a lot or some HU with themselves to bump their stats. So be very carefull before marking someone as a fish except for the 30/6 25/10 . So except for the guy that have super big gap between their VPIP/PFR and don't PFR too much the rest don't label them prematurely. You need to see them doing something dumb before you assume they are a fish.

I mean I know happened to my friend too. This is happening a lot starting even on 5/10 wouldn't be surprised if big part of your loses at 5/10 where due to this tbh.

Now you have even reverse bumhunting at 5/10/20-10/20/40 .Lost several hundreds (tbh probably more like 2k) $ against regs with fake stats that would seat limp 2-3 times withing first 2 orbits and maybe dbet once to make it believable. You would easily realise after 2h or sth he was just a solid reg but most of the time it was already to late.

So be super observant while you are playing. I mean the level of cheating there made me switch big part of my traffic to other apps.

I grinded the $.50 45 mans while there last trip on Stars.

Completely murdered it for a low sample. Like 75% over 55 games. It's a small sample, small stakes and I am a former sharkscope star at this level in the past for percentage. But the 45 mans have dried up and the low stakes are completely beatable.

I'll post my 2017 graph when the year is over. The past 2 months have been going well, the 60NL profit is at $3.7k, but it's still insufficient for Northeast Asia for which I'd need to crush at least 150NL, preferably 300NL. It's looking like I'll stay in SEA for a bit longer. I'm dallying with the idea of living in Cebu for half year to save up some money while trying my luck with the Korean girls there.

I broke up with my gf 2 days ago, this time in person. I didn't enjoy spending time with her as much as I used to enjoy it, and I wanna have more time to grind and work out and eat healthy food. I think I managed to break up on good terms which is important to me as she's still my best and only friend in the Philippines. We had some great 7 months together that I'll never forget.
