Had a girl ask me if I knew any "N-word Americans" I told her that's not what we typically call them. She asked how I'd refer to them and I responded "uhhh Americans?"

Also had a girl refer to her boss as "one smart N-word"

It's because most of their knowledge about this comes from rap songs and the rest from movies.

Most of the racism I've seen is centered around straight out ignorance rather than full on hatred. Dropping the N-word is something they mostly hear in rap music. So they really don't know what the history is behind the word.

Here's how comfortable people can be with it:

Their use of the n word doesn't seem malicious however there is so much overt racism in south east asia. I always get a kick out of asking people what nationalities they like/dislike and hearing how bluntly they respond. What's worse is it's more of a true racism strictly based off colour. Where as most racism in the west has a basis in more cultural associations with skin colour.

Goes hand in hand with their whitening beauty standards I guess.

You also need to be black. Don't give some kid the wrong idea and get his ass beat.

I have a dream of a world in which people of all races can say "sup *****" with neither implication nor fear of racism.

Nothing happened worth updating about.

I'm on a 15+ BI upswing... at 80NL after getting my ass handed to me at 300NL and 150NL during the great 2 month downswing. I'll update the graph at the end of the month.
Once I'm 'free' of makeup I'll be getting 50% share but there's still some makeup left.

My textback rate from notes has fallen dramatically since May. It dropped from close to 50% to like 30% ever since I've run out of my original batch of yellow square notes I handed out until May. I haven't changed much about me and I'm wearing the same clothes. If anything I've gotten more confident. How is it possible I'm getting less textbacks?

It may sound crazy but I think it's the appearance of the notes. Girls are very visual and emotional and maybe yellow square-shaped notes are just GTO because it's cute or something? Since May I've been writing it on random white pieces of paper and suddenly been getting only 30% textbacks.

The original batch of notes back in February

So today I invested in some new colored notes. What color do you think generates the most textbacks? I don't wanna try them all. You think yellow is GTO? Or maybe light blue?

Any color from their national flag.

Seems hard to believe that helps. There has to be some more color psychology or other strategy behind it?

I'm undecided between yellow or light blue notes.

Aren't you over thinking that a little bit?

I'd think so too, but girls have shown to be more likely to text me from the yellow note compared to the plain white one for some reason. So the appearance of the note seems to be a factor. Girls' actions are intuitive, not rational.

It's like choosing the right color of a call-to-action button when designing a website. What seems like overthinking can make a difference.

If you could get the flag printed onto the postits that would be the almighty, youd have girls putting it up in their walls, showing their friends, etc, then the question gets asked 'Where did you get that?' suddenly youve got girls looking for the Filipino flag postit man.

Are you switching up malls? perhaps the girls frequent the mall, and at the start you got replies as well it was kinda cute, now perhaps youre the 'note guy'. Could also just be variance.

Exactly what I was thinking. Huge upswings and downswings with poker hands is normal... but when it comes to notes, it must be the color!

Nah, white notes have cost me enough textbacks already. I'll stick to yellow notes and never go back to white unless I have nothing else at hand.

Apart from my admittedly small sample it also makes sense. Girls don't wanna show a piece of trash to their friends or keep it.

What comes up as one of the first results if you Google image search "friend request note"? A yellow square note. It just seems cuter and more effective that way.

Try to get some Jolibee stationary. That could entice them more thinking they're going to get a good meal out of the deal.

The reason yellow notes show up is b/c yellow is the color for post-its 95% of the time in USA (not sure about other countries).

If the white notes were small pieces of paper ripped out of a notebook, I suppose that could make a difference compared to a cleaner looking square note. Otherwise just go with a colored note, and I doubt which color makes any bit of difference over a large sample.
