You gotta dump the gf.
You're not into her anymore so don't keep her around out of convenience as easy as that is because it's just leading her on and holding you back from finding new tail.
Even after you break up with her she'll still come over for a **** every now and then.

100% correct.

Best advice I ever received back in the day was Treat em Like S hit and Sluts they will never leave you or if they do they will still drop the Knickers for you. Had some work out well and others not so good. Overall it is Solid advice.

Not sure I wasn't there that long.

Should note it's not that friendly if you're gay

I have to say that after spending more than 2 years in Thailand total, I still have 0 Thai friends that I met there. Philippines on the other hand has some of the nicest people I have ever met (has a ton of scumbags as well).
I think if you are looking to make real connections with people there is no question its Phils, for sex I'd choose TH for sure, filipinas are just way uglier on average

I'm too nice guy to say nothing and make her hopes of 'us' being long term, then suddenly disappear in September. I'd rather tell her now that this may not be long term. Yesterday we were laying in bed and talking about random things. I told her - very subtly - that Manila's traffic and lack of nature are driving me insane and that I wanna "see other cities of the Philippines". When she said "We could go to X", I interrupted her: "No, I don't mean like a holiday, I can't afford that", she asked "You wanna live there?!" and I said maybe.

She cried. Not like putting on a show, she was trying to hide it behind the pillows and she hid it from me at first but I could see her body shaking and hear quiet sobs.

I left her alone in bed and grinded for 90 minutes. The rest of our Sunday together were 4 hours of conversation, tears, awkward silence and coming to terms this may not be long term. I didn't tell her my rent is expiring on 9/16 or give her any time frame. I promised we'll spend my birthday together in early September, but hers in November I said I don't know.

Today the condo owner said she would gladly extend my rent contract. I don't know what I will do...

I took an hour walk to the easternmost parts of Pasig and of Metro Manila. Way less touristy than where I live. People acted like they don't see foreigners often, 10+ different people approached me within an hour walk asking what's your name, are you American, etc.

Nice planning so you get a birthday present from her but don't have to get her one.

don't want to sound too analytical but since you have programming skills, try to do the math of assigning various values and probabilities to various scenarios in Excel, as I think it will help you grasp better how much of a HUGE improvement you will need in girl(s) quality combned with an absolute perfect execution AND running super good on various RISKS associated with new relations.. new environment, extra costs, etc that you are going to need, to make this a +EV move at this point in time with your present life roll and situation...
also, the marginal value on improving the positive side of things there is not linear but very much concave versus having to give up what you defined yourself as 'the dream' not so long ago, but maybe you miss that great weed from the afghanis back home after all...

And if you think you netted a nutjob trying to cut your dick off in combination with the nut low on intelligent conversations and bedroom skills, I think you have the wrong bell curve picture to start with. that girl seems genuinely into you, takes care of your stuff and has your back.. you discount her way too much

You'll regret it a lot to leave her. Also, you'll never close a Korean in phils. Think twice.

If we're talking about ease of banging girls which is pretty much what we're all here for, then yes I'd take this bet. Although in past debates you've said oh no that's not really what I mean. So it's been hard to establish what you actually mean by rude / unfriendly. So far the examples I recall you've given are things like:

- How helpful male security guards are in giving directions (everyone else would have a smartphone with data to check Google maps, and who cares about the men in a country)
- Being overcharged $8 in a Pattaya blowjob bar (everyone else wouldn't mind that much or even notice)
- How well a hooker you just met responds to this 'joke' less than 10 lines into the first conversation (everyone else wouldn't make this 'joke')

Do it quick. Dragging things on will do no good and possibly affect your grind.

The final day will come anyway.

Of course she will. Reliable tenants are hard to come by.

You can stay just as cheap in Thailand btw. so you might want to check it out for a month or two.

I can tell you some cheap condos in BKK and Chiang Mai for 200'ish EUR a month and in Pattaya you can even stay in some baller looking condos for 300'ish EUR with pool, gym etc. but if you don't do hookers there is no point in staying there imo.

For 1-2 month stays? Currently looking now but striking out.

Stayed here 3 years ago with some poker players and we got a 4 br ballin villa for 40k between the 3 of us. Can't seem to find anything close value wise staying solo.

Just look at AirBnB. You can get good deals from owners and property managers for places with no to few reviews.

Phils is bad value in general. If you are busto or want to bang hookers, Thailand is still the place to be. If you're making 2.5k+ then phils is worth a consideration.

Rent incl. internet and utils is about 900 USD for a tiny studio at Gramercy in Manila for example, which is jspills preferred higher end condo. A decent place at BGC will set you back by about just as much.

You can go busto level to at about 400 USD incl. internet and utils but the place generally is going to suck when compared to Thailand (Info's place looks decent but bad location).

Also Manila / Phils in general are super dodgy / busto when compared to BKK / Thailand.

Most pinoys don't like to live in their own country as 95%+ struggle to make a living and **** is corrupt and busto as **** while thais love Thailand and could not imagine living elsewhere.

Should be able to do $600-750 at gramercy, smallest rooms are 25k php then 5k in bills = $600. About 27sqm or so

They have a bit bigger ones, 35sqm for ~30k php, 6mo contract https://manila.craigslist.com.ph/apa...195568340.html

Then say a bit more on bills and fast PLDT wifi, call it 38k php = $750

I could see doing something like 6 months in philippines, 6 months thailand, but split thailand up into 3 month chunks with 2 months in indonesia in-between, then repeat

No issues with thailand visas that way, get the best of everything

Just to further muddy up the water for you info, I've been dating a filipina for almost 3 years now long distance. Been over there a couple times and now I'm moving to Makati in a month, sold all of my possessions, got the ticket, confirmed going.

About a year into our relationship I started hitting the same kind of wall you are. Hard to have a convo about anything deeper than a puddle. Though her English is good, her lack of knowledge about history, science etc was tough. You brought up the holocaust, made me chuckle because we had that convo long ago, she wasn't sure what it was, who Hitler was, etc. She was 24 with a 4 year degree and going for her masters when we met.

Anyway, I can relate. I was 80/20 going to end it about a year in, but her personality, the way we laugh together, the way we genuinely care about one another gave me pause that I may struggle to meet another girl who I can without a doubt trust, loves me like crazy, wants to take care of me and is pretty good looking. So I stuck it out. I started just going on these long diatribes about history, geography, current events, science stuff and she was always into it, would ask questions, she would be impressed about the kinds of things I knew, and it made us closer over time.

Not saying our situations are identical, actually quite a few differences. I'm 32, have already been married and divorced, no kids though, have different goals and dreams for my life than you, probably want different things out of a partner than you. Plus my gf is an absolute demon in bed, is literally ready to go anytime I want, zero starfishing. This is an important factor that shouldn't be understated.

Just thought I'd add my experience, maybe give you something else to think about. I've been in your shoes, its a heart wrenching decision for sure.

I didn't come to Asia for ease of girls although I'm probably gonna stay for that lol. Anyway, if I live somewhere long term it's nice to feel welcome and have some genuine interaction with the locals and yes that includes guys, even if it's just smalltalk.

BGP please don't pull the trigger on jspill, I don't mind his Thailand posts.

This is how I'm feeling, I could never find a girl that loves me that much in the Western world and even in Asia would be hard. I know for sure I would regret leaving her. But then again if you are young in SEA and have this many options, even better looking ones, it's hard to resist...

i never said hu4 rollz on ease of banging girls, i said on friendliness

i dont see why u keep lumping those together

its like saying steph curry is top 5 in the world at shooting three pointers and crab fishing in alaska..... since he is the best shooter in the world he probably could be considered top 5 in that combo, but that doesn't mean he is a good crab fisherman

when you walk around thailand in your day to day life the locals do not interact with you at all, when you walk around the phils you hear hey joe and anyone you talk to is happy to have a chat, and its like that many other places

info wants that social interaction, he won't be getting it in thailand

im clearly in the top 5 in the world for not feeling lonely and finishing the most levels on tetris while sky diving (since we are combining unlike things here) and even i started to feel that both thailand and vietnam might start to feel cold after awhile
