Nah I m not trolling, dead serious. You should try it. Just do some research on google before to do it. How to prepare your body before to start and what to eat after, etc

If done right, you can add long term weight loss to the benefits. But you have to follow some rules about what to eat after your fast (day 1 drink only fruit juices, day 2 eat only fruits, etc). As I said I didn't folllow the rules but I ate healthy the days after, i have gained back about 2 – 2,5 kg from the 7 kg that I had lost, not bad imo.

I agree. I m not sure what is more dumb grinding while fasting or eating chicken, chilli & rice after a 3 days fast

Re: Clueless kid moving to Manila - Never been to Asia before

Drinking fruit juices then only fruits afterwards sounds like the worst idea imaginable. Whole thing sounded like the worst of the worst with fads although I recently read it has some benefits with gut flora although that's incredible difficult to draw a correlation to.

Idk all in all seems like bs to me. (Long term fasting not intermittent)

Wtf? fasting, real men should be going out and trying to take what is theirs at all times. You wanna lose weight? just go lift some heavy ass weight. Ill be dammed if youd see a real man such as Pooter fasting.

Re: Clueless kid moving to Manila - Never been to Asia before

Bluegrassplayer, no bs. Just a few studies, take a look:

Quote:
The study has major implications for healthier aging, in which immune system decline contributes to increased susceptibility to disease as people age. By outlining how prolonged fasting cycles — periods of no food for two to four days at a time over the course of six months — kill older and damaged immune cells and generate new ones, the research also has implications for chemotherapy tolerance and for those with a wide range of immune system deficiencies, including autoimmunity disorders.

An other one, fasting in autoimmunity disorders : https://www.nutritionalresearch.org/...terfasting.pdf

“Everyone has a doctor in him; we just have to help him in his work. The natural healing force within each one of us is the greatest force in getting well. …to eat when you are sick, is to feed your sickness.” – Hippocrates

“Fasting is the greatest remedy, the physician within.”- Philippus Paracelsus, one of the three fathers of Western medicine

Lol at any of you claiming to be helping this kid. He's being staked for micro stakes and can't afford ac. You gotta go back to Germany and get a job and grind on the side. If you are able to start playing on your own and move up in stakes then go back to Philippines by all means. If you go broke in Philippines there isn't going to be a way for you to make money and they have zero social services I'd imagine.

Well if he's having trouble with money then fasting is great advice because it'll help him save.

Haven't eating anything in the past 24 hours. That actually easy and I'm doing it quite often didn't knew it was good for me? I was usually doing because I'm lazy to cook or go out.

Life's short. I don't regret being here with little money, I'm having some of the best times of my life. If someone's reading this in a similar situation like me in February with a few k life roll and no steady income but some type of plan and want to travel I say just pack your bags and go for it, you're not gonna die. Worst case you use your last $600 for a flight back.

I knew if it doesn't work out with Youtube and my other plans I could probably survive grinding micro stakes. And I'd be happier grinding micro stakes in a country i've always wanted to visit than grinding some annoying job back home.

Lol. Right we have been trolled by Hippocrates (the founder of medicine btw) since 2400 years.

The last study about fasting - http://www.cell.com/cell-stem-cell/f...909(14)00151-9

But yeah, you won't find a ton of studies about fasting because there is no money in water fasting, there is no profit.

Re: Clueless kid moving to Manila - Never been to Asia before

**** this is like reading the fitness section. I think you could find a study to say anything. like if you wanna lose weight just hit the Hammer and Tack for a few months and bingo. Brown Rice and Boiled Eggs sounds good.

Dont like the idea of drinking Fruit Juice as it was one of my favourites but too much Fructose. I was 74kg last April couldnt and didnt want to eat with Oral Chemo but now 97kg and will be back on my Sugar Free Living in June. Aiming for 88kg.

When I tried the Sugar Free for the first time I was never hungry and just wanted to try and get back into work as I had my own Company for 37 years so I started back on the tools. My energy levels stayed even all day and we were doing 13 of 12 hr days with 1 day off. When I got crook I was 86kg and felt the fittest I had been in years. I had lost 10kg without even trying.

The Best Doctor/ Specialist is Yourself and like all Tradesman you get some Good some Brilliant and majority it is like talking to the Brick wall. I have found a few good Doctors but most dont give a *** just show me the money and take these drugs.

My current Local Doc is a Brick wall but I dont mind as all we talk about is who he has been ****** lately and how his Russian Crush is going while he just writes out my scripts.

Info you need plenty of Pork, Eggs in your diet to keep it up for GF and invest in a good well balanced Vibrating chair for her to sit on you while you Grind. Good Luck with that.
Maybe she could just give neck and head (Both) massages as I can see a lot of advice coming your way from GF. Just *** the Guts out of her and put her to Sleep rinse repeat.

Re: Clueless kid moving to Manila - Never been to Asia before

Lmao this puck guy is funny as hell

There is PLENTY of examples of people who lost weight with little to no side effects by long term fasting. The main downside would be low energy levels thus can't grind.

But you gotta be ludacris to say that moderate intermittent fasting or just fasting when you take a break from work/weekends isn't worth it.

I was doing IF and playing in Smart Spin on 2015, having great results. Probably my best trimester in poker.
"Your brain needs energy" yes, but there are glycogen stores brah (your body can store around 2000 calories there. More than enough to grind for 2 hours. Then you can do some cardio and break the fast.

Not posting this for OP. It's a suggestion for everyone
Sorry for the fitness prickness but I really love IF

You're mostly right. One study is pretty meaningless. That's why scientists replicate existing studies to see if they get the same results.

The word "reset" didn't appear in the first link at all, and he second one (published in the journal "alternative therapies" i.e. "we couldn't get a legit journal to publish us") followed 6 people. 6. Imagine if someone claimed to have done a poll of 6 people. This is just as credible.

And now quoting "ancient scientists"? Jesus.

Quote:
But yeah, you won't find a ton of studies about fasting because there is no money in water fasting, there is no profit.
and now the "scientists are just in it for the money" canard.

That's a bingo.

Re: Clueless kid moving to Manila - Never been to Asia before

Indeed there aren't decent studies showing how IF really affects the body
But isn't nutrition a gray area, always ?
-eggs are good or bad?
-how much red meat should we eat
-do multivitamins work?
-dairy?
-IF?

One thing that we're sure: Intermittent Fasting regulates your insulin sensitivity (the cause for diseases such as diabetes). I'm not even gonna start about cancer
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/25546413/

Also, isn't it intuitive that early hunter gatherers didn't eat breakfast? Every time we talk about nutrition and fitness, mimicking our past ends up being the best approach

Why am I trying to convince people to skip breakfast on a card game internet message board? Hehe, perhaps im a silly man

Re: Clueless kid moving to Manila - Never been to Asia before

The founder of Fasting as a rebuilder of immune system is Arnold Ehret ;
http://www.sunfood.net/ehret.html
-> As usual, those who offer a free recipe to health are not loved by people of their times and he found an untimely accidental death.

You can find his original book in .pdf version online
http://www.truthseekerz.com/Arnold_Rational_Fasting.pdf

Intermittent fasting has various ways to find a soft version of the concept for those not willing to put in the harder work and indeed the most easy way is just eat all meals in a 6 hours window (eg 11am - 5pm) while drinking plenty of water the rest of the time and of course paying attention to what is to be preffered (fruits and green veggies) and avoided (most meats, especially pork)

Re: Clueless kid moving to Manila - Never been to Asia before

I gained a bunch of weight(20kg) from just pounding beer and junk food in combo with my metabolism getting worse from getting older a couple years ago. I lost it all just eating no sugar and carbs in combo with lots of basketball. Ended up from over 100kilos to like 79. Never had to starve myself in that time and it was easy to keep the weight off with lifestyle changes. I did gain some back from a couple drinking binges and junk food binges think im like 84kg currently at 6'1 completely fine. Currently in the process of getting in shape again but still eating carbs here and there and weekend desserts.

I've learned theres a TON of diff diets out there that work for diff people. Keto, paleo, low carb, vegan, this fasting and god knows what other ones exist. The key is to find something you can stick to for longer then a 3-6months otherwise its not going to last. I couldnt do a diet that had me not eating most the day because i like tasting food. I'd rather make healthier food choices and be able to eat till im full whenever i want in combo with exercising for my diet plan. What works for one guy might not be the best option for the next just depends on the person.

Sorry man. I love IF.

I was doing alternate day fasting and the fat drops off, this was also combined with hitting the gym on the feed day.

Gain lean muscle, gained strength, lost fat. Fasting also helps with overall reduction of inflammation in the body, plus tons of other health benefits.

Fasting is the nuts.
