I'd completelly agree with you, Gonzo
cliffs:
-we need omega 3 and omega 6 in our diet. not in exagerate quantities, but in a ratio of about 1:4 (eat 1g of o3 for each 4 grams of o6).
-omega 3 is primairily found in grass/algae fed animals
-omega 6 is found in vegetable oil or grain-fed animals
-the average american (and for sure the avg asian too) has a ratio of about 1:40 in his diet
-everyone needs to eat more o3,
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4761991/
but this study kinda contests it
-wild fish DO have a better o3 vs o6 ratio
-but farmed fish have more fat overall (and o3/o6 are unsaturated so that's good)
-hell even saturated fat is not bad for you, as long as it's not processed junk or comes from soy/corn oil
-keep in mind that this study analyzed "scottish farmed salmon", which they called the best in the world
G2A's conclusions :
-wild salmon has a better o3/o6 ratio and less poison contamination chances
-farmed salmon still has lots of healthy fatty acids
-eating animal protein is always healthier than soy or no protein at all (just don't deep fry it)
“The benefits of eating fish far outweigh the insignificant risk of pollutants and other substances,” said Janneche Utne Skaare, of Norway’s Scientific Committee for Food Safety (VKM).
yeah I'm a tryhard
