I spent a month in mostly Manila and couldn't have possibly sensed anything less of anything resembling this.

How are you finding living outside of Manila? PH may be my next long term destination if long term visa's in VN are no longer an option.

Local guys got 100x more game than any westerner I have ever seen in SEA who are mostly below average looking, below average personality, not in the greatest economic shape and lack understanding of the local culture and language.

The only thing you can potentially offer is a better lifestyle to lower class women, but the ones that make it easy are usually from shitty greedy families and have predatory ghetto behavior and no realistic concept of western guys.

The best thing you can get is a dark skinned IQ outlier that managed to overcome economic difficulties and got some level of education in the Philippines. Thailand is extremely anti white at this point and most thai women are straight up greedy trash anyway and barely speak coherent English or have any level of understanding of western culture / are thai supremacists, so I don't know why anyone would bother.

How easy/realistic is it to find cheap accommodation for 1/2 month(s) in the PH (compared to TH) ? Is AirBNB the best bet or is it also possible to rent'em the "normal" way? Thanks

Almost no way to rent for 2 months unless somebody has sublease which u can take.

Airbnb pricing will be very depending on which area you go. Can go from very expensive to very cheap

There are some monthly listings on some of the rental websites like dot property or rentpad, but airbnb is fine too, and a lot less of a hassle than navigating your way through the city and meeting with rental agents.

Actually it is very easy to rent 1-2 months. Just find a place on Airbnb that's available and message the host with your offer. Like 50% hosts are willing to negotiate and you can easily rent for 60-70% of Airbnb price. Pay cash/ bank transfer straight to the host.

Cheap accommodation is generally trash tier and even the quality of western level expensive apartments in Manila is mostly lacking.

While it's available via AirBnB, a European person will think it's ghetto af for the money unless you're used to London level pricing.

time to leave the philippines if you can. even if you have to pay $5k for a one way flight get out while you can.
