Twitch is a way better platform for live streaming. I've decided I'd rather start at zero followers on Twitch than with a 4k headstart on YouTube. I might end up renaming the YouTube channel to InfoShove and uploading stream highlights there, but do all my streaming on Twitch.

Interested in watching but 6AM local time seems like a weird choice. Doubt there will be anyone awake for real time Tinder chats or video calls.

I know I'm not going to 'get viral' with my first stream. I'm not going to get viral with my 20th stream either. It's going to be a consistent, daily grind to grow on Twitch over time. I'm planning to stream for 4 hours everyday if the initial stream is fun.

I expect most of my potential viewers to be NA timezone, followed by EU. The Asian market for English speaking content is nothing compared to NA.

Keeping that in mind, around midnight to noon EST seems like the nut low even though here in Asia (GMT+8) that timeframe includes the best hours for Tinder and hooking up.

I don't know... Basically I have to decide between way better content (streaming in the Asian afternoon/evening with lots of potential hookups) or way bigger potential audience (streaming at NA Twitch peak hours).

I believe it's certainly possible (just not optimal) to stream myself talking to some chicks on Tinder from 6 AM (many girls are active on Tinder on their way to school/work from my experience) and successfully meet an ugly chick 2 or 3 times a week around 10 AM, whether it's a weekend or her weekday off college or a crackhead. (last one is a joke)

What's the alternative? Trying to build a fanbase of Asians and expats in Asia to be able to stream in the evening PHT and have better content... Seems tempting but seems hard to get a lot of viewers that way.

I guess the latter option is more of a niche and the content would have to be really good.

I have no idea how twitch works with getting viewers to new users but I'm guessing word of mouth is your biggest asset and most of the people interested are those already living in Asia.

So you're likely limiting the quality of your content and viewers who know you.

If twitch has a way of sending viewers your way during prime time then I'm probably way off.

Twitch makes it is very easy to be discovered by complete strangers without any word of mouth through categories so the NA/EU traffic peak hours are a big factor to consider.

Actually there are plenty of IRL streams in Japan, Taiwan and Korea that are primarily watched in Western countries. For example this American streamer called Cjayride has been streaming in Taiwan for the past 1+ year, but the majority of his viewers are from NA:

But yeah, I think you guys are right and especially if I plan to do this regularly there's no way it's sustainable to be on Tinder from 6 AM everyday without running out of girls to talk to or stuff to do. I'll set a regular schedule around Asian evenings instead.

You can run it from like 10AM-Noon local which is a good timeframe to catch west coast people in North America and a few east coasters staying up late.

Just checked CJay's stream, it's fun yet awkward. That's the type of stuff you would want to do. Walking around slums getting mobbed by impoverished kids would quickly make you Twitch famous.

It's definitely not the right time to do very non PC stuff. People get banned from youtube and twitch all the time for that these days. Even famous guys like RooshV are looking for other sources of income right now as it's extremely hard to monetize content when you get banned left and right.

I have to postpone my first stream to next week due to technical difficulties. Friday March 30 it is.

I'm planning to stream 5 hours everyday thereafter so it should be well prepared before I start.

I think if rather work at Jolibees than trying to yap in front of a camera for 5hrs a day.

I have 4+ mbps upload speed which is enough for 1080p streaming so internet is not the problem. It's other technical difficulties and features I've been working on that you'll see on Friday the 30th.

I think it's gonna be fun for me and it shouldn't be hard to bring myself to stream 5 hours a day if I'm having fun. Unlike a Jollibee job, I'm not doing it for short term money but because I see great long term potential in my ideas which is a better motivation than a small amount of money per hour.

Those are bold statements to make before I've even started, but the stuff I've prepared so far looks very promising to me.
