Sure he dabbled in poker to prolong his stay, but his first intention was just to have fun, which he did. He's 22-23 he was broke already like most people at that age. He set a very sensible strict monthly budget right from the start. Mostly people hating are probably in their mid 30s and 40s and I bet were just as broke as OP at his age.

Having arrangements with backers and playing on other people's money and being accountable to that (significant) makeup is much more than just "dabbling" in poker.

have to agree with mr Jack here, u can do whatever u want with your money but staking arrangement is something different. He was practically freerolling his staker, cause when he goes into makeup he just gives up life and has no intention of grinding it back up.

In that long post above he says he's 'going to work it off'. Where does he say he has not intention to do so and is freerolling the staker? He can still grind back home.

Maybe in the staking arrangement if he doesn't hit volume goals he has to give up a higher %.

Ill take some action 1:1 that he doesnt grind out the makeup once he is out of PH

Grinding 70 hours a month does in no way equal running off with the makeup. It's lazy, but I've been just as lazy before being in makeup, averaging less than 100 hours. The reason I dropped volume is because I've never had a 4k downswing before and I allowed it to affect my motivation too much.

I said this before to someone else on here, though he managed to nomad himself into a good lifestyle (I think). Go home work hard come back with a 10k roll. Then grinding is optional. Girls can be paid when you are in a rut. This busto mentality is not going to give you a great time. Always soso. Money talks bull**** walks...

The president or political situation don't affect you at all as a normal tourist. To get in trouble you really have to look for it like deal drugs or I'm sure goldenspiral9 would find a way to get killed or jailed here but not the average tourist.

so Info, how long do you think you have left in PH? If grinding doesn't work out will you start doing work online or just pack up and head back? I respect the balls it took to make the move, and the apartment is pretty sweet. I just think you should try to have a more memorable time rather then be cooped up grinding all day and miss out on the awesome circumstance you're in while you still have the chance.

First of all it's still 'if he leaves', not 'when', and second of all you're wrong, I would definitely grind out the makeup, for moral reasons and also because I still see great long term value in the staking deal.

Feel free to throw up a prop line for you being in PH with your current situation in X months. I'm sure that you'll get action on it

Nah, I won't engage in bets, I'll focus on grinding, but it would be ironic if I were to end up homeless cuz I escrowed the money that I needed to pay the bills.

If I ever found myself without enough funds to bet on myself then that's the time I would know to head back to Germany.

You tried, you got lazy, you failed. You're being given good advice in this thread (from multiple people, not just me) about heading back home and coming back later with a real bankroll, you should think about following it.

For him to prioritize chaising tail while in a lazy, low roll situation is mindboggling when he already had an '8' gf who was finally improving on her own lazy flaws..

His major problem is not just a lack of improving on his admitted flaws but very poor judgement / delusion in evaluating the EV distributions of his life choices, his careless fat tail risk taking of creampies, and other *****..

It's hard to go busto when you set such a low budget, in my experience poker guys that go busto were all balling out, g clubs, soapies, out drinking every night, fancy condos, then games got hard and they were too embarrassed to budget.

All the guys that set good budgets and weren't shy about it ended up fine, PE, k2, that guy who married a Thai Christian, and myself back in the day when I moved over at 23. Even Pooter in his prime gigalo days.
