Sample size but I've seen some of the hottest girls walking around near Cafe Havana. I've never had someone say they don't want to be seen there. Saying someone that doesn't want to be seen there is probably a working girl is a bit of a stretch, but they are certainly a princess with ridiculous quirks.

Bit of hyperbole on my part I admit. But I don't know any normal girl who know of or would refuse to meet at Cafe Breton or Starbucks at Greenbelt because of the hookers next door. I think people would be surprised to realize that most girls (who don't know Greenbelt) have no idea what's happening unless you point it out specifically to them.

Given who typed that up, I think it's more likely the girl he was talking about is a snooty princess who thinks she's hot **** because her parents could pass for middle class in a western country and not an ex prostitute.

Around 4/5 or greater of all the girls I've ever taken to that area don't know there are girls for hire there until it's pointed out to them. Then it's usually an "oh" or "really?" as they look closely at the young darker girls/ladyboys and the older white guys.

In general, I would have to say that Filipinos aren't very observant of their surroundings unless it affects them to some extent. This extends to things like technology (aside from phones and cameras), world news, and politics (apart from local), that's why so many people including the OP think Filipinas are dumb. In a lot of cases I don't think they are dumb, but they have poor standards of education and are uninterested in learning about anything that doesn't affect them directly.

Hey OP, what takes up all your time since you seem to barely be putting in part-time hours? Are you strolling through the city to find next spots to live/hangout? gym? video games?

My advice is to like 5x your volume man...what more motivation can you need than not being able to afford cheap dates in even a 3rd world country?

Enjoying the blog so far though...I'm working to get my job as remote work (Everything is on the cloud/over the phone already) so that I can experience some of these destinations without tapping into old poker savings/retirement.

I've been playing poker for awhile now and he seems a lot like me in this regard. I can be pretty lazy and easily waste a ton of time just screwing around on 2+2/FB/Youtube and only put in 50-100 hours per month even when I'm not doing anything else. OTOH, on rare occasions I've put in consecutive 300+ hour months when chasing Supernova Elite or a prop bet. I think this is probably why OP was trying to set up a volume prop bet earlier. It's too easy just to screw around and do nothing unless there's some real motivation on the line.

Deleting posts and avoiding some real talk, even if it hurts doesn't solve anything. It just worsen the situation and you really doesn't need to feel embarrassed. It takes a man to be honest about his situation as you were. And some balls to face reality, take feedback and do something about it. You definitely took first steps.

I really do not understand how you can play so few hours as a poker pro. The amount of hours for the last two months is absolutely ridiculous. Well 'pro' is obviously an exaggeration because you are not making a living out of it. Why the hell didn't you grind your ass off? Absolutely mind-boggling the # of hours per month. That should be the # of hours per week if you actually care about staying in Philippines (which it seems you don't). Either way, it's not a great situation and playing poker when you know you'll have to win to make ends meet is super stressful and could be messing with your game and/or putting you on tilt easier.

I have zero sympathy for your trip coming to an end (and it should end) because you simply aren't working at it. If you can't put in the hours into your profession, then you will fail. Some of you guys are a bit harsh, if you check OP he never intended to play poker he actually says in post 1 that he quit poker last year, he was only moving to 'live life as he wants', 'bang hoes', and because he found asia stories entertaining.

Had 'no idea where he'd be by the end of the year' and poker was just to get by. 'If it doesn't work out I can just do something at home, I'm only 22'.

On his budget he can just stack shelves for a few months, get some Xmas money, perhaps a kickstarter campaign, then fly back and coast for 2018.

I don't know, it's just getting sad to see another guy ending their SEA life in the typical nomad way. Seriously it's either this or jumping off building in Pattaya... Soon or later majority of nomads end like this. There is also this 3rd option for beta guys, being broke loser in sea, just barely getting by and i doubt OP would be happy with this option for more than a year or so and even sooner if he meets some sea ballers and sees their lives. Imo it's way easier to be broke between losers in home country without any chance of contact to the great life. He will rebuild his life roll and take another (now proper) shot at it in a year.
