Hi,

Going solo to Chicago from the 2nd - 5th of June. Looks like I hit an expensive weekend. Hotel rooms are like 3x more expensive than a normal weekend. Any decent hotel room in a "recommended" location downtown seems to be like $500-$700 for a night.

Any areas / towns close to city centre by train that can be recommened? There are some decent hotels close to O`Hare (Where I`m flying from) that cost a lot less, but then it takes me 1 hr to get to the city centre. That`s also close to the Rivers casino.

Goal for the trip is to explore the city for a few days, go to Wrigley Field... and spend one afternoon/night at Rivers casino.

Any advice would be really appreciated.
