My wife and I are heading to Brazil in February and looking to do a few days on a beach. Her family is in Ribeirao Preto so we will mostly be staying there but are going to do 3-4 days on a beach somewhere. The obvious place is Fernando de Noronha but it's both crazy expensive and seems like a real pain in the ass to get to. We don't want the $40 hotels but not the $600/night places either.

I know some of the posters in SE have been to Brazil, but wondering if anyone else has and place totally blew them away. Again, I'm with my wife, so looking for somewhere quieter and more isolated than the big cities and big crowds. One of the places that has jumped out at me is Boipeba (and there's a great looking pousada there as well). Seems like rainforest meets beach and is pretty secluded. But what are some places you loved and would highly recommend? Thanks a lot!
