has any one of you guys lived there? how is it?

also Chiang Rai?

how is it with internet in those smaller cities of about 100,000 people, can you easily get a very reliable internet connection?

Songkhla is awesome if you like getting your head cut off by muslim insurgents, otherwise not much else to do there.

It's not "easy" to get a reliable internet connection anywhere in Thailand. It's possible, but it's probably the biggest challenge about moving here to play poker.

I visited Chiang Rai and wasn't too impressed. It seemed like a smaller, worse Chiang Mai imo. They have a couple cool tourist things like White Temple though.

what about the CDMA sticks? aren't those reliable? not talking about speed or other things. strictly stability of the connection.

I got a stopover at Bangkok Airport tomorrow for 7 hours and I figured I might as well see some of Bangkok. Is this reasonable with the time I have? Also, are there any baggage lockers at the airport which you would trust with your laptop bag?

One great and reliable internet in Thailand is 3bb premier in Chiang Mai. I haven't lost a single pot due to disconnects in 7 months now.

You can buy a meal at a restaurant in Thailand for like $2, for that price you'd have to really like cooking to do it yourself.

It's a bit over-priced, especially for long-term stays

anyone have a recommendation for a place to stay on koh phanagm? last time i went (FMP) i stayed on samui cause everything was booked but i wanna spend like 5 days there for NYE. ideally somewhere w wifi and aircon around ~$20 a night.
