yea you cant get the 1 year type O visa from hull easily anymore. need to be married, have a child with thai, retired etc like for other embassies

2. When you get a double-entry tourist visa, do you get 2x 60-day entries, or 2 separate entries within a 60-day period (total time 60-days max)? I have people arguing for both and would just like a clear answer.
3. When you arrive by overland and are given the 15-day visa exemption period, do you need proof that you're leaving within 15 days?
*Basically I have return flights to Thailand for an 80-day period, but plan on leaving the country after a week overland and returning overland about 45 days into the trip. I am hoping to enter the second time with an overland visa exemption and then fly from BKK to Myanmar, and come back a week later. If I do this I will arrive with <30 days in Thailand left and won't need a visa. However if I don't do this I'll need to have a double-entry / organise a tourist visa whilst there during the trip.
1. these things change all the time but so far i have not heard anyone being asked for ticket out when coming in with tourist visa. i myself came to thailand with tourist visa 3 weeks ago and was not asked for anything.
the only problem with the 30 day visa extension is that the airline might require proof out of the country. since you have a visa they will let you board BUT you can try to not enter the visa number on the arrival card and see if the immigration officer will stamp you for 30 days and thus saving both of your tourist visa entries.
if the officer notices the visa and asks you about it you can try to tell him the truth that you are leaving by land in one week and wish to not use your tourist visa entry. that might work as well.
you will get into the country one way or another so i would not worry about that
2. there is a "enter before" date on the visa. as long as you use the entries before that day you will get a 60-day stamp both times when you enter. also keep in mind you can extend those entries for further 30 days inside thailand so you do get 2 separate 60(+30) day stays with the double entry
3. officially yes but it depends on the immgration officer if he wants to see it or not. why not use the tourist visa when you enter overland? you will get the same 60 day stamp like arriving by air and wont be asked for proof out of the country.
