Ok I'll fly to Thailand on 15th September for 2 weeks, destination Pattaya.

On which sites should I look for accommodation? The ideal for me would probably be a studio apartment.

They have 3G wifi routers now. This might be old news, but every grindhouse should have one as a backup to their backup. Just get a cheap data plan and don't use it for anything else.

If anyone wants to watch British free view TV (plus loads others) for free on their Iphone then try downloading this, it works great and is fully unrestricted so no need for a VPN

http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/filmo...427900675?mt=8

edit: oh, you can just watch them all from there website also, nice

How much do I have to spend to get a nice beach house in Thailand? (Will stay 3-4 months) Not something huge because I will probably travel by myself but it needs to be fairly new and nice. Also what does a maid cost?

I understand that Thailand is a big country but I just want some general guideline before I decide where I will be traveling this fall.

depends where and whether its high or low season

probably around $500 - $XX,000 for a house.

cheaper if you got a studio room in an apartment block. maids dont cost much (probably <$300/month) and apartments and stuff usually include bi-weekly cleaning.

I'm noticing the birds here in pattaya, are asking for more and more cash.

I will point blank refuse to pay more than 1500 for long time, and so should everyone else....pass the word.

Hello Erik,

Thank you for your email requesting information on how to play on PokerStars following your intended relocation.

As a result of legal developments in the United States following which we will no longer offer services to residents of the US or US territories, we are unable to assist you with your change of address enquiry at this stage.

We kindly ask you that you contact us once you have relocated to your new intended country of residence and also once you have logged in on PokerStars from your new location. We will then provide you further information on how to start playing again on PokerStars, as the current legal developments are limited only to the US and US territories.

Can anybody please post what the required steps are once in Thailand to get back on PS?

Thanks

Get a bank account, a lease, and a phone. It's hard to get a utility bill in under a month and you can usually get by this requirement.
