I love you 2+2. You took me from being a huge losing player and turned me into a professional. You have given me a vast network of talented, honest and entrepreneurial people with which to collaborate on business projects. You have made it possible for me to become friends with some amazing people.

I would like to be a part of the community again. I've learned that the methods I took in the past in dealing with those I disagreed with were not good for me, or for my business. Since I haven't been allowed to post, none of those issues have come up. I was my own worst enemy in many ways. I've learned from that. It wont happen again.

I've also learned that its much more valuable to make friends and not enemies. Many of the problems I had were due to the fact that I chose to needle many of the mods along the way, simply because they were mods, really. I don't like authority. Thats a bit part of the reason I'm my own boss. But that isn't productive or professional. That also wont happen again. I would sincerely like to rejoin the community and be allowed to post on 2+2.

I'm hoping that possibly some readers of this blog can help me out with this. The only voice the admins of the site hear is that of the mods who hate me....and man they hate me with a passion. But I'm certain there are those out there who don't feel that way. If you could take a couple moments out of your day and PM Matt Sklansky on 2+2 and let him know....that would be awesome. Or possibly somebody could make a post in my defense in the About The Forums Forum on 2+2, asking for them to unban me.

I sure would love to be able to post in my Thailand thread again. Its over 2,000 posts long now and has been going for over a year! Even though I haven't been on 2+2 in months! Pretty amazing I think. So many 2+2ers living in Thailand now, because of that thread. Makes me smile every time I think about it.

Thanks for reading, now get back to the tables!

So why did you post this here instead of in About the Forums like he asked?

PS Thailand haterz, WTF you doin in this thread?
dont kill ander's liver too fast!
His liver is ok (aside from the fact that he can down 6 shots of tequila, 6 shots of vodka, 1 shot of red label and 2 beers in 1 hr without even seeming the slightest bit drenk).

He is, of course, enjoying the ole juggling 3 giks at once routine though

Does anyone kwow if NoiQpoker is working in Thailand? Or some other iPoker site. I didn't find anything using search feature.

Thanks!

Well NoiQpoker is working on and off. Ofdabeat plays there, but it is bit stage. Some days it's works in the morning for some hours, then it wont connect and then it works again in the evening.

But fulltiltpoker is stable here, as well of a few other sites, so you're able to get some reliable sites here.

If you are outside of the USA for at least 330 days in any given tax year then your first 80k is 100% tax free. There are certain limitations to this law though so you should read up on the specifics. 'Self employment income' is not covered by this break. Im not sure if poker winnings falls under this category so if it doesnt then you should be home free.

The tax break alone is more then enough reason to live in Thailand if you are making more then 80k playing.

Additionally, under certain circumstances you can deduct your housing costs among other things. So if you make more then 80k you could still take some nice deductions off the rest.

(My uncle is a CPA and did my taxes and I paid almost nothing while living in Thailand for 2+ years)
I think you have to be working legally in Thailand to file for that exclusion. It is technically illegal to work under a tourist visa not to mention illegal to gamble in Thailand so I think you can only exclude foreign income if you had a work permit in Thailand. (not easy to obtain)

The US government is not going to check to see if you were working legally in Thailand, and the Thai govt will never know that you were working, so why bother trying to get a work permit?

You French guys should come to Vientiane since we have French-speaking bargirls here. This might be a better place to surrender your money.

If you ever get audited, trouble. The thing is it is nearly impossible to get a work permit. So if you claim that you are working legally from Thailand, it is a risk tax-wise. GL

I'd like to spend some time there but the "no internet in hotel room" stuff is a pain in the butt.

The nice hotels have wifi. I can get a really fast (for here) wifi connection until 7 PM 6 days a week in my $7/night guesthouse which is the main reason I'm still staying there.
