Hi,, I'm Spanish, and I change my address in PokerStars (I put my Thai address), and I make withdrawl to my kasikorn account... and IT IS POSSIBLE.. no problems... and fast... 2 days... (I cashout 100$ and I payd 12$ commission) Is better to cashout 1-2k$ (less commissions).

Can anyone explain who is this guy? nhourmess ?
Is a poker player? Can I transfers money from PokerStars to his account, and he give Bahts?

Thanks and sorry for my english..

Is it hard to get a Thai bank account in Phuket? I'll be getting there in August. Would it be better to just establish a Canadian account and use that as my main bank account (I'm a US player)? Thanks for the advice guys. Also any districts in Phuket that you guys would recommend (I'm not looking for anything baller at all, just somewhere with a good internet connection and is cheap)

FFS can people start reading the thread? those questions have been answered many times in the past few pages. Use the search function for phuket if you don't want to sort through it.

So does that mean that no one who plays on Stars has a Thai address or Stars is rigged against Thais?

That depends on your standard, 15k is good for a single thai while that s not that much for you when you need to spend money on visa and will have higher standards.
That depends how long you want to stay aswell and how much initial investment you can do , like buying a motorbike instead of renting, getting an unfurnished appartment etc...

So I signed up for Thai school today and will get a edu visa for 8 months. I have to go to another country when all the paperwork from the school is done (heard this takes around 2 weeks in general?)

Now im thinking about what place to go to, I just want it as fast as possible. I know KL is very fast, like 1.5H flight but have heard people say they usually takes overnight to get your visa. And I remember when I got a 3 month tourist visa in Singapore, it was all done and ready in 10 mins (this was a couple of years or so though)

I guess my qustion is, have anyone recently went to a thai embassy in a closeby country and got the visa sorted the same day?

Some embassies can now do tourist visa the same day. I doubt you´re able to get an EDU-visa the same day anywhere, since there´s a lot more paperwork for them to look through. Of course, people might have positive experiences regarding this, but pretty sure, that would be out of the norm.

2 x 30 = $60 / mo living expenses
2 x 30 = $60 / mo food
$30 for misc

$150 total, which is about what thais spend. $200 if you want to ball out of control
