i might have come last night, vincent, but paying a 750 baht cover to hear a DJ I already know will play music i won't like..... while my friends visiting sit in my house their last night in town without me, seemed like a bad idea, just to see some girls swimming in bikinis... well, maybe i made the "klausy" choice or something...
I already told you and the rest that you didnt have to pay that I had enough spots on the guestlist. 5 people told me they were coming, including the visiting friends (2 of them anyway), 5 people bailed..

And I agree these places are far from packed on normal nights, but when they have a big DJ coming over there is always a good crowd whether its a club in Patong or all the way up in Surin.

hello
after reading Thailand Travel Guide i have some q's
i know some of my questions i am going to ask have been answered but trying to digg by those 1111 pages is suicide...

sorry from mountain for spelling errors etc since English isnt my native lang

all of you talking about big apartments, gyms and conditioning
i want to go to thailand and escape from big city life for a while, find peace, try to leave other than 'western' style, if u know what i mean

can u tell me what area (quiet) whould be nice to leave in a small house by the beach, how much would it cost \ month
of course i will need an internet
i've heard about some dutch? guys living in bamboo houses (i dont even know how it looks like :?) in some Thai area

one a week would be nice to travel to nearest, big or not, city

there was tones of talking about girls but for $
how is it with regular girls, picking 'em up and stuff
what is their relation to 'dating' farangs ?

only if you like house music, and an empty dance floor.

having clarified that he really enjoyed patong, i'm guessing that there is little crossover with your nightlife tastes.
I do like house (rather Trance but whatever), not sure about the empty dance floor :S?

Patong was enjoyable mainly because it was quite a shock and really different, would still prefer more normal nightlife in general. Definately don't wanna be going to Patong every week or anything.

CM's Thai nightlife is actually pretty cool yeah. Lots of live bands and a normal social scene where you don't hear "HANDSOM" every 5 seconds. Have to know Thai and actually try, makes for a more comfortable environment for sure. Hoping Phuket isn't just Patong.

Friend of mine lived in BKK and loved the nightlife, as did I for those few days there. Narz was pretty awesome, doesn't seem like there are too many places like it overall. CM has Fabrique which actually isn't bad, figured Phuket would have 1 or 2 similar places.

How often do bigger headliners come in and is it just house or will they get Trance, DnB etc?

As I was writing this a rat the size of a small cat ran across a power line outside my window, gotta love Thailand.

Doesn't look like there are all that many people there even in that video you posted. People standing around talking on the dance floor with plenty of space, it wasn't exactly packed.

I dunno who nhourmess is trying to convince. Patong nightlife is funny for a night or two right? You might not wanna party with freelancers on a weekly basis tho. Phuket Town has what? Timber Hut, which is OK.. for an hour or two. BKK just has more options, way more options and it's not orientated to sleeping with falang for money as Phuket definitely is. Or did I miss smth?

i don't think anyone disagrees that bangkok has the best nightlife by far. i guess if you're extra klausy you might prefer Pattaya, but BKK has everything, in spades.

yea i think it has been covered 1000 times that bangkok has 1000 times better nightlife than phuket and surely bkk has other stuff going for it too like phuket and CM have their own upsides

everybody just choose what you prefer, thailand should have something for almost everyone if you want to stay here

peace

i like how cm has a lot of good lounge type places where you can hang out and shoot the **** without needing to yell over really loud club music

im sure there are places like that in bkk as well but i never went to one in my time there

what advantage does phuket offer over for example Samui? I've never been to Samui for more than 30 minutes, but I'm wondering why everyone goes to pukhet

Phuket is a lot easier to get to than Samui. Hundreds of airlines fly straight into Phuket international airport, whereas only Bangkok Airways and Firefly fly into Samui, and it's very pricey to get there from Bangkok (4500 baht one way compared to 900 baht to fly to Phuket).

Samui is less developed and cheaper than Phuket, mostly as a result of the above.

The Box at Nimman, also the Monkey or something in the same area kind of fit that bill if you sit outside. There are others?

thanks in advance
dunno about ur budget and what ur looking for but the hotels on soi 13 (which is next to the beach) has decent grindable internet and like 5-10min walk to walking street, guesthouses/hotels on soi LK metro and soi honey inn have good internet too, and just a couple minutes of walk further away than soi 13, these are no baller hotels, if u want that u might want to check out dusit d2, its located closely to the ones i mentioned
oh and yeah the beach is bad, jomtien is little bit better, and then u have koh larn about 30min away with speed boat which is ok for relaxing and swimming

ur gonna wanna go to some bars/clubs in the Kho Sarn Road area. I don't know which but thats the only place you will find a bunch of tourist girls in one place.

If you decide to go Thai then RCA is probably what you are looking for.

Are you talking about Monkey and Warmup? BKK has places similar to that but I'd say Monkey and Warmup are probably better than the places I've tried so far because of the unigirls <3s

i'd be interested in hearing more about that kind of lounge type place in bkk, all i can think of so far is funky villa on thonglor soi 10, a cool normal hours nightclub with 95% thai people and tons of non-working girls, it has a large outside seating area which fits the bill of a chilled out shoot the chit kind of place since the bottles are better priced than spicy etc. and theres no admission fee. and maybe bangkok beats on suk soi 7

I got a 30-day medical extension once but they were very thorough in making sure it was legit, even had me meet with an in-house doctor - and the cost was 1,900 Baht not 10k Baht. Maybe you are referring to something else.

The most that would happen would be they would charge you 500 Baht per day overstay fines up to a maximum of 20k Baht. Though if you are granted an extension of your visa this will be noted in your passport so you should be fine.

I think about buying a coat from an indian tailor in BKK. I was already in 4 different shops and they have different qualities of fabrics. The shop with the best cashmere (it was very soft, the seller said it is milk cashmere) told me a long coat with a real animal skin (as lining) is 45k for a business man and 20k for me because I am a student.

What do u think how much room to negotiate is there?

How many days does it take that the tailor has enough time to adjust the coat?

Is it difficult to distinguish a real animal skin from a fake?
