Thanks for that.

Do you need to sign a long term contract? We're only going to be there for a month or two at most..

I'm thinking about just bringing my laptop and go to Chiang Mai and stay for a couple of months. I might go down to the islands in the south, koh phangan/Koh Tao and I might go over to Laos for a while as well.
I know nothing about my internet options or how to solve this, so please enlight me.

How many TVs do you have in your passport? I have five but most of them are from Europe, if that should count for anything, and I need one more TV before i get back to Europe. I have about two more months here thou but Im getting little paranoid over the situation, could you report where you went, if you obtained your TV and how many you have right now in your passport?

I know this question probably have been asked many times before, but I will ask it again because things may have changed lately.

Is CDMA air internet still availbable in phuket, is it more reliable than cable internet, what areas does it work good/bad, and is it good enough for 4 tabling rushpoker poker?

Thanks!

A guy from the capital of canada a first world country coming to a poverty stricken village near you.. I will definitely find a soul mate. Is english rare in these locations in thailand?

Why would English be rare? It's the international World language.

by this do you mean the hill tribes?

all parts of Thailand are easily accessible via aeroplane, train, bus or car.

outside the main tourist areas or Bangkok, less and less English will be spoken.

Does anyone have any recommendations for the best place to stay during the full moon party? I'll be with two other friends, basically just looking for the most convenient place and the best place to meet people and party. Price isn't a concern (omgz ballin in thailand!!).

Still available. Not more reliable/better than 3bb premier package, works good enough in my area for 8 tabling rush in Panwa. Dunno about other areas.

Still convenient to have as a backup line tho

for some reason this made me laugh hysterically - just thinking of a white guy going to a village and telling these people I want to wrestle with your kids.

Hey guys,

Can you guys talk about the north, south and BKK all as living expierences? What are pros/cons, what do you prefer? I'm thinking beach because it can be a balance between relaxed/chill but also can go out and go crazy at night whenever you feel. Whats the weather like at the beach/bkk? What about the internet? Anything you guys can think of, tyty

I wish i listened to my friend that told me to start with bkk, his advice was go to bkk and when you want to go to the beach it s like 2 hours away, now i m in phuket and i almost never go to the beach anyway and i still have to deal with all the tourist crap with no real advantage, i stay there only for my gf or i would go to chiang mai

its hot...basically all the time.

different kind of heat(hot+ humid) than Vegas dry heat...imo vegas heat in July is worse but not by a wide margin

internet is fine for grinding in most places, is definitely slower for downloading movies and stuff though.

i did sign one, but didn't have to pay a deposit or anything. don't know what happens if i break it, probably a small fine, or perhaps you then have to buy the router. would still be worth it imo to have decent internet. could try asking them for short-term options too, they can probably sort something out

most of the girls speak near-fluent english in the tiny villages...wtf do you think they are, 3rd world? They also love Canadians, especially if you can speak French.
