I downloaded a bunch of respected Thai films, but wandering about Western studios.

Also, in low season do clubs which cater to Westerners ever get busy?

There are tourists year round and a large expat community - plus Thais are the best customers of most clubs, even the ones that have a lot of foreigners. Go-Go bars I guess would be the exception but they are open year round, in Bangkok at least.

Rescue Dawn was shot in Thailand. It technically takes place in Laos but it was shot in Isaan where most people are ethnic Lao. I'd give it a 6.5/10 but a 10/10 for authenticness.

I've been in Chiang Mai for a little over a year. I'm flying back to the Saturday for at least 5 or 6 weeks.

I've spent the last two days looking for presents for friends and family and also **** I'll miss when I'm in rural North Carolina for the next month.

Need help on what I'm going to wake up Sunday morning and say "**** my life, I forgot ____"

Ideas?

I will be returning to BKK on the return leg of a roundtrip ticket Monday from the US on American Airlines. I have a brand new double entry visa. I have never had any trouble in returning to BKK without proof of onward travel either from immigration or the airline. From past experience however I know that the American based carriers love to mess with you if you don't have proof of onward travel. Does the fact that I have a new visa exempt me from having to buy another plane ticket? Anybody have any experience with this?

+1 for Bangkok Hilton. It is actually a 4.5-hour mini-series though, not a movie.

If it was a good island it would have lots of falang.

I'm assuming she wants to go to Tiger Temple which is nearby? I've been there and tiger temple was cool, but other than that there isn't much to do there

Kanchanaburi is where the river kwai is yes? theres a very good tour you can do there,2/3 day tour,2nd world war, bridge over the river kwai, hell fire pass etc.Highly recommended if history/learning about 2nd world war is your thing.
Great if you want a break off the booze.

Its also a beautiful area...lots of waterfalls etc there.

i loved kanchanaburi. Erawan Falls and Tiger Temple were both cool spots to go to. I stayed for 5 days a few years ago, and keep planning on going back.
