americans have experience with international travel insurance? I didn't buy any before I got here but would like to buy it now. Do you have to pay everything out of pocket and then get reimbursed? Thanks

download the visa application and fill it out and include all the necessary documents. NO proof of airline tickets is needed
Do you reckon this applies too norway also? I am leaving pretty soon so would like to get visa out of the way, but i dont have a ticket yet. On the norwegain thai embassy site though it says they need proof of ticket.

why dont you just buy the ticket then? you dont really need a visa unless you have a ticket

if you really need to have the visa before having the ticket then your best bet is to call the embassy and find out the requirements (sometimes they differ from website, this is thailand in the end...)

I could have sworn the immigration office in CM was offering 7day extension on VOAs for whatever fee, but according to the internet you can not.

This took me AGES to findout and was a huge headache.

Dell 30" cannot be bought direct from Dell, since Dell in Thailand only does busbiness2business. I have a connect though for Dell 30's through some reseller guy.

Dell 3008wfp was around 63k THB each when I bought 2, which is pretty reasonable compared to the general price of things here (considering they ******dly high import duties etc)

With a crazy number of inputs, 1080p over component and good rendering of 1080i, this screen has set itself up as a potential TV replacement, let alone a huge monitor. This one's the new king.

What's the over/under on the number of spare monitors belonging to 2p2ers in Bangkok just sitting on the floor and not being used... 11? 14?

Those cheap monitors use an inferior technologie (TN boards) with low real colours and viewing angles but fast for games, they look bad compared to the real good ones like the dell ultrasharp or apple ones who use IPS boards.

Theres a reason why they are so cheap...

since when do you need real colors and wide viewing angles for poker?

Well the image quality is way better, and its fun when you are very often in front of your computer screen like most poker players, and i never said you have to have those screens.

i'm sure the 'roos around your uni are relatively clean, but those of us in thailand get the opportunity to have sex with women that might get pregnant, and may or may not have a dubious sexual past that encourages us to use protection.

danny is not here on visa on arrival but on visa exempt stamp which he can extend for 7 days for 1900 baht same way he could if he had came in flying and gotten a 30 day visa exempt stamp

visa exempt stamp != visa on arrival

edit: assuming he was asking for himself. no clue if the actual visa on arrivals can be extended

Just to be sure, I want to go to Thailand in March 2011, I'll probably be coming either from Sydney or Hong Kong. Upon arrival I'll probably want to go to Laos/Cambodia first for probably a month, after that I'd like to stay in Thailand for 2/3 months (either with 2+2'ers or find a studio apartment) .

What visa do I need? I personally though the 2 entry one should suffice, only downside is that I can only stay in Thailand for 2 months, or am I missing something?
