Anybody stayed at central hill http://www.centralhillplace.com/
The suite looks pretty good does anybody have an idea what the extra water/electro/ect charges will be for a month?
Also they don't say so on the site but do you think I could get a weekly deal?

also wondering about this place. suite looks pretty nice for cheap, but the utilities might end up costing more than i care to pay. anyone know if these apartments are serviced?

I went to check that place out last year but the suites were fully booked. Seemed OK but I'd prefer something nicer inside. the pool is good though and the location is great (if you don't want to be on the tourist side of town)

I think they are serviced

By buying a knock off watch you are in fact stealing from said company (Rolex, Cartier, etc). Since you clearly have no moral objection from stealing from a company, I recommend you go to a legitimate store and just steal it. Thai security guards are so unorganized you can just walk into many stores, put something in a bag, and walk out with it. With the lack of cameras/receipts/understanding ("How dare you say I stole this, this is my watch!" or "Oops, forgot to pay for that. How clumsy of me!"...worst case scenario), this plan is essential foolproof.

If you're a pussy though, MBK has some good knockoff watches.

Phuket Questions:

About a month or 2 ago some one made an epic post about Phuket with details about beaches, restaurants, the different areas, all sorts of **** someone like myself needs to read if they have never been to Phuket. Yes I know I could read through all the thread but I figure since it was such an epic post someone would remember where it was buried in this thread. could you hook a brotha up with a link?

Also can anyone recommend which of the Marriott hotels would be the most ideal/best location. I have a bunch of points i need to use up. Here are the Marriott in Phuket options:
http://www.tripadvisor.com/HACSearch...0&l1currency=0

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me out. Can you believe I have lived on and off in Thailand for 2+ years and I have never been to Phuket. I am not sure how that is possible really.

I haven't worn a watch since I was like 13 so buying the fake watch would be like a 'trial' to see if I can manage not to break it, lose it, or to see if I actually like wearing one. If all goes well then I'll buy a real one, or just have Dave shoplift one for me on his next criminal outing.

Some of us guys in Phuket are thinking about a Laos visa run
i) which airport in Laos should we fly into (visavis, aka i.e. tubing)
ii) is flying from Samui the best option cos the flights seems kind of expensive after a casual search

you will save a lot of money NOT flying to Laos.

Instead fly to Udon Thani and take a minibus for 200baht from the airport directly to the thai-lao border (they have a booth at the airport just for people who go from airport to the border and the minibusses are synced with arriving planes to udon thani). the trip will take 30-45mins

you can fly to udon thani directly from phuket with airasia. with advance booking you can get the tickets as cheaply as 500 ( http://www.airasia.com/th/en/promotion/rr0390602.html their latest promo for this leg) baht per person one way. booking from outside the promo with only couple of days notice you will pay 2-5k depending on few things.

whats the best way to deal with money in Thailand(BKK)?

I went in march and im looking over my bank statement

I have a Chase account.

for example:

on 3/19 - I took out 10000 Baht through an ATM(@ exchange rate of .311300)

It charged me 150 baht ATM Fee
+
$3 dollar US Non-Chase Fee
+
Exchange rate adjustment which was $9.48 for this transaction

So for 10000 baht i got charged $328.50 on my ATM

what is the best option for me? just bring 10k or 20k in cash when i come in july lol? dont think i would feel safe with that much cash in thailand.

i plan on getting a 6 month - 1 year lease somewhere
