pretty sure the doctor in phuket works at the hospital during the day and gets there at 2 or 3pm

bangkok phuket hospital is by far the nicest hospital i've ever visited. if they did monthly rentals, i'd prob just live there.

one of you phuketers should set up on a chefxp type service. can't believe phuket doesn't have one yet.

most hotels have room service and if you can find one of the employees that speak good english they will pick up food for you for really cheap.

Can you tell me what VPN you are using? I used Cyberghost before, but nowadays my account gets locked down for using that VPN.

yea i was talking with adam about this

my landlord said patong had its own service but i'm pretty sure only the 2+2'ers would use a service providing food late at night around kata/chalong/rawai/phuket town enough for it to be profitable

There's a chance that the taxi mafia doesn't want food delivery services to succeed too much (just guessing). More importantly, the distances make it much tougher to do this kind of business in Phuket, compared to any other place in Thailand that has demand for it.

I'm planning on getting a new phone, if I want to get a iphone or something similar should I wait till I get to thailand and just get one there since I already will have to pay more to order a unlocked one in the US?

if you're a bit more adventurous, you could just get a regular (or even refurbished, they're always the exact same) iphone and then google how to unlock it yourself. learning how to do it and then doing it will take like half an hour total.

or you could just buy the normal one and take it to MBK or wherever and have them unlock it for you for like 300-400 baht.

If you don't mind paying a little bit more I think it is just best to buy a fully unlocked one from an Apple shop here and then you don't have to worry about software upgrades and stuff that you may not be able to us with a jail broken phone.

im thinking of getting a 2 or 3 bed room condo in september around BKK.

where is a good place to start looking? i hear thong lor is a really nice area to live. I want to be kind of out of the grimey parts of BKK. I checked out the Prime11 condos, they look pretty good but im sure I can find better.

Im paying like 800 / month right now for rent back home so something around that would be fine .

Also what about internet? we want to get the fastest internet here. We are currently staying in the presidential suite in Grand Sukhimvit and they gave us our own router but its still not that fast. Its definately a solid connection but not as fast as we would like.

thanks!!

Does anyone know of any good bars for watching football in Phuket (ideally around Kata beach)? Preferably one that has a decent size screen and English commentary.

Thanks.
