Someone was axin about suits earlier.. I just got a hand made suit done in Chiang Mai for 6500 baht. they did a fantastic job. Lots of choices, etc. They measured me initially, then i went back for a second fitting, they redid stuff, and I just went and picked it up. Came out great.

6500 baht~ $175 or sumpin.

I just spent a month in Phuket; will do a semi trip report in the next few days. It's not my favorite place in Thailand, but in terms of 'paradise places' it's not too bad.

Durning my extended stay here in Thailand I have only been to Phuket once. I stayed 3 days and was more then ready to get the hell out. Phuket is a good example of how over development can destroy a nice place. Samui will look like that very soon too.

Bangkok seems like the only long term solution. Flying to samui for a few weekends a month is prolly more then enough island life needed to maintain a good time while living in Thailand.

First of all, Farang is their word for define foreigners, but in fact it means Français ( french people ... dont know why but that's it )
for people who dont understand how it's with the lady ... Just assume they love sexe, they don't like mostly thai guys ( cause they are always drunk and spending all their money in gambling, and they dont work .... in thailand u'll see that the girls are working more the mens ), unbelivable how it's easy to have a GF. Just choose the one you want and stuck the [censored] and u'll get her.

That's the best food in the world and that's so cheaps.

I'm a little concerned about this thread. I still check it, but I'm not as excited to read it as I was 5-600 posts ago. I figured out why yesterday. Fish2plus2 aka farang0 aka KKF made a BBV post about how a fight with his Thai wife turned into hot sex. It was a great read and it occurred to me that that is the kind of post that hasn't been made in here in a while.

Most of the posts in here nowadays are basic stuff: where can I find an internet connection, I'm dropping by next month, Phucket is a beautiful place, etc. Let's face it, this thread has become the internet equivalent of a vacation silde show. This would be lucky to make it to 50 posts if that's all it was. While the other Thailand topics are fine, what makes this thread special is the women. That's what we're here for.

But the thing is, this isn't Degen's, KKF's or any of the Thailand peoples' fault, it's our fault. Why? Because this thread is a "Ask me" thread. Its our job to coax the good material out of them. I encourage all of you to ask questions that will lead to good material, not just what crosses your mind at the moment. To get the ball rolling, I would appreciate it if the Thailand people would grant the following requests:

1. Please post all available pics of hot Thailand women you have met. If there's too many, limit to those you have banged. Include polls so we may have a "Miss OOT, Thailand edition" contest. Include backstories and throw in a ladyboy. Don't mention who the ladyboy is so we can make fun of everyone who voted for him. i want to know about drugs. i understand that you can get prescription meds without a script. now i'm not a drug addict or anything, but if i'm on vacation with a select group of party animals we may want to partake in things besides alcohol. would it be crazy for me to try and buy things like marijauna or hash?

could i get into serious trouble with the law? the last thing i would want is to see the inside of a thai jail cell.

what about things like percocet or xanax? in mexico you can buy ketamine over the counter. is the same true in thailand?

i have a feeling a lot of the bar girls would offer you drugs if you wanted them. i would probably be staying away from bar girls, and i assume you should stay away from their drugs as well. is this correct?

if i'm looking to buy illegal drugs should i try and ask a farang who seems like he knows whats up?

the drug culture is a telling part of any society and often very interesting to understand.

Do not buy drugs from any Thai person would be the most general advice. Until you live there for a while and develop relationships you will not know who to trust. People will do things like set you up with the pigs. Bar girls are often pretty familiar with the cops and, IMO, therefore less likely to actually sell you drugs and more likely to work you over with the pigs.

When I lived there I only bought weed once from a Thai kid on Ko Lanta. Was pretty iffy about it at first but went to some beach bars where people (Thai and farang) were smoking very openly so I felt better about it. For my regular hook-up when I lived in Chiang Mai, I went through a farang friend.

If you are just there for a bit and want to hook it up I would suggest finding some other farang that seem like they know what is up and subtly asking them. Don't buy from anyone who approaches you about drugs and (obviously) don't go for the most conspicuous druggie in the place. Just like anywhere, find someone who seems trustworthy, use your head and trust your instincts.

Thailand is a very laid back place and can be ideal for partaking in certain drugs and yes, you can score some. But the police and justice system do not treat the problem of drugs lightly so you have to be very very careful.

ive read some stuff on thaivisa.com/forum about farang working w/ thai police to catch people (undercover drug dealer).

so what exactly are the laws? (if i am ever in thailand i don't plan on trying to buy drugs. just not a risk i want to take). however i'm still interested in the laws and penalties.

are the cops looking for people trying to buy drugs? if you're at a party and get searched will you get in trouble for having them?

if you can buy Rx drugs without a script would it be perfectly legal to have a pocket full of OC's but illegal to have a little ganja? kind of a weird situation. are we talking jail for just buying pot?
