Serious Questions

1) If you pick up a ladyboy, and you go to her room, what is the protocol? Will s/he ask for money if you get all the way up there? Will you pay them to leave?
2) Do you kiss the prostitutes? Or are you afraid?
3) Do rich Thai girls parents generally refuse to let their daughters be with farangs?
4) Who hear has caught a disease and what did you do?
5) Are there some Christian women?
6) Who here has a girlfriend? Will anyone post pictures of the girls they dated?
7) How much Thai do you need to know to have a deep conversation with an average Thai girl?

These are serious! Thanks :-)

Jake

You are really clever, DBAG.

With Dbags like yourself trolling up this thread, people actually looking for information are going to get less because those of us take the time to be helpful are going to pack up shop if this thread fills up with dbag trolls.

If you want help, goto thaivia or stickmanbkk. No help for you here.

Check out a book called Temples and Elephants about about a Scandinavian adventurer who hangs out with Rama V in the 1880s and then travels through Siam from Bangkok to the Mekong. The guy behaves like a complete dick and is far from politically correct, but that's part of the fun of the book.

Another book I highly recommend is Shooting at the Moon, about the CIA's secret war in Laos. It' obviously more about Laos than Thailand, but a lot of it directly involves Thailand and Thai soldiers. This is the best Vietnam War-related book I've ever read and one of my favorite history books. Extremely well-written.

7-11 costs 1.5mil baht to start and they have two management options. 1) they provide trained management and they take a large percent of your profits. You will net like 30-40kbaht/month. 2) You're the boss, spend all your time there, and you still have no guarantee you will make any real money. In conclusion, don't buy a 7-11 unless you have the money to buy 5+ and don't mind waiting for 3-4 years to get your investment back. You are also a non American farang so that won't help your business chances either. Good luck!

As a foreinger you are only allowed to own 49% of a business. 51% has to be owned by a thai.

anyone who thinks they could buy an existing 7-11 and has much of a chance of getting their investment capital back this quickly, needs to talk to me about some great investment real estate projects in Florida.

Yeah just woke up when I wrote that. Math is off. Americans have a better chance because of this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U.S.%E2...reaty_of_Amity

Under the U.S.-Thai Treaty of Amity, Thailand restricts American investment only in the following fields of business:[1]
Communications
Transportation
Fiduciary functions
Banking involving depository functions
Exploitation of land and natural resources
Owning land; and
Domestic trade in agricultural products.
Do you think 7/11 goes under "Domestic trade in agricultural products."?

EDIT: nvm those are the restricted areas

EDIT2: Wow never knew US guys could own land with no problem in Thailand...

It says exactly opposite that.

It says it DOES restrict land ownership. It is one of the exceptions to the treaty.

guys...how's the pollution in the chiang mai area during the year. from what I've seen, the worst is usually around Feb-March. Since it's right around that time, I'm curious what those living there think.
