90/5 Khoktanod Road, Kata Beach.

He prob won't know that specific road but it's not too hard. You should expect t pay 600--800THB for the taxi fare..

PMing my number ...

Heres a google map from Chalong Circle (All taxi drivers should know that) to the hotel.
If you could print this off before travel it should help a lot.

My dentist warned me 2 days ago that his friends got mugged in thailand, so it got me to thinking a bit... am i going to be cool with it?

Not that i ever got mugged overthere, but ill let the watch stay home if your only there for some time, bc you will never know if anyone want your watch
or you tell ppl while drunk its a real one not a copy.

you can get cheep knock offs that look same or really close so even if you took it no one would look at it and go wow, as all the non enthusiast would not see the difference from the millions of copy all turist wher over there, so if ou can live without it, let it stay home and get a class A knock off to weer while your over there,.

just my 2 cent as going around whit the amount on your arm over there, getting drunk, maby hocking up whit strangers and sharing romm whit them, not smart i think.

btw have a blast over there i whis i could fly in just now /

to continue broad racial generalizations, if you call them out, they cower and slink off. they might try to ignore you, don't let them. you do that once, and all the other linejumpers get the hint.

(It's obviously helpful if you're able to look intimidating. while i'm obviously a gentle soul to westerners, asians often can't tell the difference, they just see my size)

555 that reminds me, make sure when you are picking which queue to join to avoid any queue that looks like it has massive gaps. I assure you, those gaps are filled with Chinese standing 4 across which means you are gonna have to wait 4x longer to get your flight.

wow that's a long queue but it will be only like that for high season. Last June I had take off at 00:30. I probably queued for passport control around same time you did and there were like no one there.

but yea for the next 2 months I'd reserve some extra time for airports etc and a lot of patience
