In June (right in the middle of low season) availability is high and prices are lowest, so youd be coming at the perfect time to hunt and save.

This stuff is brilliant, thanks for the help. I was checking out that Siamrealestate.com website, there's a good few nice looking ones.

The price quoted here is for the whole house yes? Just checking.

Yes. The price is for the Whole house.

I'm pretty sure I know what development that is in. If I'm correct, it's about 1km from a Muay Thai Camp and about 1.5km from "Icon" , the Rawai Disco.

The webpage is ll over the shop on the price though. It's hard to tell what the actual rate would be. (Seemd like it would be be between 30K and 50K)

One thing you should know/expect is that for shorterm (anything less than 6mos) you will pay closer to the higher end of the range. Also, for just a 3mo stay most owners are going to expect all 3mos + 1mo security deposit up front. Bear that in mind when you come. You and friends should bring a reasonable amount of cash otherwise you might get stuck doing daily "max out" ATM trips trying to hoard the move in cash.

That was clearly not his point. It's not like you can't get laid in Thailand while not spending a dime just by the virtue of being a young outgoing guy. Ofcourse wimmenz everywhere are going to care about how much money you have because it's partly a sign of status and success, which to them is the same as a nice pair of boobs for us.

Re: Ask us about Thailand!

Real question about poker playing here with any input helpful.

Has anyone set up a bank account in Thailand, and then wired money from your poker account to it? Or used a service like click2pay to transfer money to a Thai bank account for use at a local ATM? What are the best branches/banks in Phuket that have worked for setting up accounts. I know it's not that hard to do, but what are some of your experiences ?

What is the best way to cash out from PS or FT to a Thai bank account? or are most of the veterans here still using your home banks/ATMs? I'm an American passport holder, but looking at ways to play on some new sites also..

I have a Thai friend who wants to play on FT, and is having issues through TOT.. any suggestions?

Whats with TOT dropping AIS voice customers on Feb 1?

The full moon tonite it Phuket looks grande!!

Re: Ask us about Thailand!

about picking up "real girls". You have to go to places where you would find "real girls". I would recommend learning a bit of thai also. I found just being able to introduce myself, ask how she is, if she wants a drink etc helps a lot. makes it look like your not some random drunk farang after sex. also go to the more expensive clubs. in phuket i think lime and sound dont let working girls in.

I wouldn't do the hassle of bringing a desktop.

Deffo buy laptop from home. You can get decent ones here but the prices aren't ASIA electronics cheap at all. Also, the selectio is bound to better in major western cities.

So, the reccomendation is, fix yourself up with a quality laptop, and when you get here just buy a decent monitor (22"-26" available from 6KTHB-15KTHB) for making the grind better.

Best bank, esp here in Phuket is Kasikorn (the green bank). All you need is a Passport to open an acct. I haven't heard of any of its branches being a problem.

TOT suxxx arse. Str8 up. That's it. Nothing more to say about that gubment run beauracracy. It's more expensive for far worse service with lazy "who gives a ****" staff.

Landlines in Phuket should be TTT if at all possible.

Offcouse it is POSSIBLE to pick up a "real girl" as you call it. If you live in Thailand, speak thai and get a social network including unindependent girls with well paid jobs or rich parents you may meet a girl that do not expect something in return if she goes with you.

But to go out on clubs etc and getting one night stands with a thai girl and then think that she is just horny on your looks, personality or "falang dance moves" as someone recomended. Just forget it.

I guess it is YOU who dont get my point or have not read my posts.

I was sarcastic against thai travellers (most often first time thai travellers), that are naive and believes that the girls that are going with them on the first night they meet are not wanting money or anything in return.

Offcouse a guy with money are more attractive in most womens eyes than a broke guy, everybody knows that. But that does not mean you can compare meeting a thai girl in Thailand for a one night stand is the same as meeting a girl in America.

In America most people EASILY can meet girls to **** without showing of money just because the girl find there looks or personality attractive. Or the girl is just horny. Insecure computer nerds may have a problem tho.

Rsx, skin color doesn't matter u racist ahole. Girls in thailand are different than girls in the rest of the world. Different breed. Just make sure she's unindependant or rich. Personality is irrelevant

Has anyone traveled out of the 'falang'/tourist police safety zones of Phuket, Bangkok, Pattaya, Samui & Chiang Mai and seen the Isaan region with their own eyes?

It is spoken in the forums like a mythical OZ.
