the only thing that is really hard is pronounciation. you could learn the alphabet in 2 weeks.

Any idea if learning Thai is easier/harder than learning Korean. I found Korean extremely difficult to grasp.

I just tried the google, and I think that's maybe the first time I've seen the Thai alphabet. It looks almost like Arabic, where Korean seems like it's closer to Chinese.

they say japanese and korean are the hardest languages in the world. i am sure that thai is easier. grammatically, it is a piece of cake. it is very easy to understand for me atleast, the only really hard thing is pronounciation.

Full moon party is on the 5th not the 3rd.

This day also happens to be Loy Kratong, a cool holiday in Thailand. Should prove to be pretty fun.

Internetpack? 711 sells internet cards you can use for dialup access.

Don't need the 90 day visa because I go back to America on the 17th. I'm gonna leave for Cambodia tomorrow which will be awesome.

I'm gonna miss the FMP which will not be awesome.

no biggie though, I'm sure I'll be back here sometime

edit

better off buying a ticket at a travel agent than the airport right?

book online, bangkokair.com check airasia.com too.

Usually cheaper to book yourself then use an agent (but not always)

If your just doing a visa run it might be cheaper to fly from samui to panang /K.L. / singapore / hong kong

me and some guy friends want to take a vacation in January.

we wanna go somewhere that is relatively cheap sompared to US and Europe,

has enough mixture of tourists for diversity,

has resort living, clubbing, partying, snorkeling, beach scene,

maybe casinos,

i've been to pattaya and phuket but only did the bar scene. the place was more flooded with hookers and had no female vacationers. it was fun, easy to get booty (no challenge whatsoever, and you could pay if you really had to) and no diversity in women.

is there a particular place in TL that has what I am looking for?

I would say Koh Samui, thats where im heading as well in december. Koh Panghan is 30 minutes i think from there as well if you dig backpackers.

I think we have to give up expecting people to read this thread before asking questions. Its seriously a lot easier to just ask the question. If no one responds, oh well. Degen of course can belittle latecomers at his leisure.

Degen, I propose a challenge: Bang a non-hooker in your first 24 hours. GOGOGOGO
