We have a plane ticket to Phuket 2nd of February, but we are not sure where to stay the first few weeks. We plan to stay for about 2 weeks here then move up north to bangkok-> vietnam and so on. But what do you guys recommend, Phuket or Koh Samui? Or anywhere else? Planning on having kind of a vacation with alot of sun, beach, watersports and partying: )

We flew in from AUS and we had an issue with not showing proof of a flight out (we hadn't booked it yet). The lady told us it was the rules, then let us through anyways. I wouldn't go again without proof of the exit flight.

After I get the visa exemption for 30 days for flying, I need to go to an immigration bureau for the visa, right? (I'm Canadian by the way.) Is there an immigration bureau in Phuket? I'm looking to fly straight in to Phuket but I don't want to find out I need to go to bangkok to get the visa or something.
