Suppose you already have a Non-Immigrant Visa (i.e. Business Visa) and suppose you are already in Thailand for 60 days, so now what do you do? The Immigration Bureau of Thailand states that \"if the holder of a non-immigrant Visa reports to and informs the Immigration Bureau of Thailand in approximately every 90 days (before his/her first 90 days expires), the Immigration Bureau will allow non-immigrant visa holders to stay in Thailand for another 90 days without exiting and re-entering Thailand!"

Is this true?

If you have a work permit yes. However I'm not really sure how being a poker player would qualify you for it.

Farangs owning legit businesses (as opposed to those who just buy some brothel in their girlfriends name) use this visa and only have to border run once a year.

is there good mobile broadband I can plug in using USB to my laptop that works all over thailand? whats the best internet SP there? Should any of you guys want a beer and a chat with a total newb im keen to find out alot about the real thailand as soon as I get over there, so I dont get taken for a ride and so that I can enjoy the experience more

Cheers
I use a usb modem for grinding on up here in Chiang Mai and it works great. It costs 780 baht p/m for the connection. It also works good in Phuket, but they do not have coverage in BKK for some reason.

New Years eve in BKK will be awesome, I'm sure there will be a lot of 2p2ers there and I'm probably going to make it also. See ya in a couple of months!

I think that there are 2 licenses, 1 for BKK and one for the rest of Thailand.

My girl and I are going to be in Thailand from Jan - March. We plan on doing extensive travel in the northern part of the country, hopefully hitting some pretty remote regions. What vaccines are necessary?

I am also going to see a doctor about this but I'm just curious about what other people decided to get and not get.

Thanks.

i had hep a and b vaccinations along with typhoid. you may need a shot for japenese b encephalitis (sp?) if you are going to the more remote parts/deep in the jungle.

fwiw at least in the UK they do hep a and b in 3 stages, you have the first one then a month later you get then second and then the 3rd 5 months after that.

i got hep a+hep b and the japanese thing. i wasnt recommended typhoid though

both of those shots were in 3 stages and had to be started one month before the trip

i got the 3rd twinrix(hep a+b) shot in the bangkok hospital in phuket and they charged like 5k for it. gf got the same shot and was charged 1.2k

std ripoff but i had just spent 2 days in there for eating something bad so didnt have the energy to fight or go somewhere else for the shot
