most of the posters are in bangkok(not sure about the number atm but maybe 20?), around 10 or so in phuket and then random people in pattaya, samui, chiang mai and maybe in some smaller places too

where to go? depends on what you are into. city/party people live in bangkok. others myself included like some more relaxed atmosphere and the ability to see some green atleast once a month so phuket is the choice for us

bangkok is a huge city and phuket is a tropical island

in bangkok you are moving by skytrain and taxis. in phuket you usually drive your own motorbike around

phuket has beaches, nice scenery. bangkok has a lot more nightlife and better/cheaper shopping options

i want to be able to drive around looking the scenery freely, look at the sea/beaches even when i haven't gone to the beach for a while, i couldn't do that in bangkok. most people from this thread who moved from phuket to bangkok wanted more choice with nightlife after they got bored with phuket. i dunno if they are bored with bangkok yet but most of them like it more than phuket on that front

seoul is ****en like city like manhattan with tons of buildings but everyone is manhattan is like unhappy... ive been in busan mostly the second biggest city which has like beaches and stuff along the edge but has subway and pretty city.

hawaii is like super mellow... people drive super slow... and i guess its different depending on which part of hawaii... ur talking....

i have no idea about different parts of hawaii. i just thought seoul could be more like bangkok and hawaii could be more like phuket so you'd know the difference

i think it is like 700-800km by road from bkk to phuket. there are dozens of flights daily between them and it takes a bit over an hour to fly
