is it my computer or is full tilt impossible to use after the last update in Thailand? It takes like 50% of my CPU power and uses a lot of time starting. To download the program i had to have a friend send it to me, since the download from FTP just stopped all the time. I have to play through a VPN now, which is pretty annoying. BTW, i have contacted FTP about 3 times about this but no responds from them.

I have a problem with partypoker too..

Im planning to go to Thai soon and have had the following injections:
Hep A - Thyphoid...
I also got given malaria tablets, but i dont like the sound of the possible side effects.

So do i need the tablets or any other injections as we may be going rural now and again.

If you look in Internet Poker forum there is a massive thread of how the new FTP software has screwed everything up.

Im just guessing but since gambling is completely illegal in Thailand most poker sites won't cash out to a Thai bank account.

Hmm.. On the Pokerstars cashier page when you scroll to Thailand there seem to be many bank related options for deposit and cashouts...

It means its possible and I doubt thai banks would know/care about pokersite transactions.

Really no one has tried doing this?

Stars said they could wire to my Thai account no problem but I'm looking for smaller, faster withdrawals.

If anyone is looking for a bit of peace and quiet for a month (may be the wrong place to ask, I know) I'm probably going to rent a big stunning 3br house with a private swimming pool in Cha-Am for 40k. I'll be concentrating on teh poker studies, so sharing with a 2+2er would be helpful. PM if interested.

after talking to the embassy seams like i only have access to a 60 day tourist visa no extention; so should i go with that or do something like this http://www.languageexpress.co.th

well, actually i just wanted to know ur opinion on this type of school since i would like to pay for pvt tutoring anyway; i would rather just fly somewhere every 2months if considering only the visa issues and cost.

anyone else play sngs in thailand?

if so..

where?

I played SNGS in Samui and didn't have any problems. The major problem with internet is people using crappy wi-fi reception. If you have an ethernet cable plugged into a router, most ADSL connections in Thailand are fine, even for sitngos.

Hey guys,

I'll be in bangkok next week and after having ****ty internet for a few weeks now I'd like to find a place in Bangkok I could use to download some new tv series episodes (family guy etc.) I don't want to stay in a fancy hotel though. I have a laptop obviously so wireless is the way to go (no ethernet connection). Does anybody have any ideas on a good place for this?

hi guys,

i'm currently in thailand right now and don't feel like looking through 8k posts. i apologize in advance if this has been asked.

if i go to a thai massage place that charges 300 baht, is tipping 40 okay? when i went down to order food at my hotel, they offered delivery when the food is ready. i looked at the receipt and it already charged me 20 bahts for delivery service, should i tip the guy bring me food again?

basically, i want to know what are expected tipping situations and which are not.

thanks!

Generally your not expected to tip.

I've never been in a situation where I have not tipped and had a bad reaction.

Only time I tip is in restaurants, although I do often just let them keep the change.
