How'd you compare Phuket to Ko Samui (which I have visited)?
Samui is much quieter, less services etc.

Its like Comparing Vegas to Reno.

No matter where you go its a safe bet you'll wish you left your wife at home.

Whats wrong with Tiger beer?

Stella and Heineiken aren't even good beers. The local stuff is superior as is the local stuff anywhere in the world.

Tiger beer is awful just like the other Thai beers. I still have a case of it in my fridge though! Agree with you on Heineken & Stella being poor choices too.

Re: Thailand returns

Heineken is drinkable but not a good beer. Federbräu is the best stuff around here, but my 7-11s just tend to have the huge 0.75L? bottles.

ha, this is like the cheapest beer in Italy. Probably something along the lines of PBR in the states.

it is good though!

I go to Chiang Mai about 4 times a year... and recently spent the last 4 months there... i can honestly say... one of the coolest cities in Thailand.

I would suggest if you are there on a Sunday night... to do the walking market "inside" the old city. It starts at Tapae Gate and goes for days.. it is WAY BETTER than the night bazaar.. which is truly not that special. That being said, you can always go to the night bazaar... since its open every night starting at 6pm.

Eat from the street vendors... PERIOD!! I see NO REASON to ever eat inside of a restaurant, but if need be, i will go ahead and PM you my suggestions.

Most of all, have a great time, respect the people and their culture (ie. no getting upset and stupid american ****, always try your best to speak thai... you will get much love for even attempting) and go to play with the tigers and the elephants.

There is an amazing elephant reserve that takes an entire day, but it is amazing. You can play in the river with the elephants and feed them, and all proceeds go to their preservation.

If you have anymore Questions.. PM me.

Re: Thailand returns

this beer argument is pretty absurd, especially with people claiming that stella is anywhere near a "classy" beer or that beer x is OBJECTIVELY better than beer y. guess what people like different things, amazing!

and pumpui jesus christ you are a tool. honestly, have you ever made a mistake in your life, or are you just damn near perfect?
