Going to Thailand for 2 months soon, I mainly play on Global poker, I know I cannot play from Thailand on Global so I am wondering what other sites I can play while living in Thailand with an US address and bank account?

I am also looking for sites I could play while living in Thailand long term that will allow me to deposit/withdraw using a thai bank account.

if she was active at the moment then it's hit or miss and others said could remain dormant for months or even years, the amount of risk you face increases if you had any cuts or she made micro cuts using teeth etc


however, if it was not active for her at the time then you should be in the clear as it doesn't transmit during the dormant stages

Also you've been around in Thailand long enough, you almost certainly have been exposed to herpes already and just don't know it.

There are 2 types of herpes though. Yes, everyone probably has the more prevalent one. I've had it for 2 decades, but never had even a tiny sore on mouth or crotch. The other type is the one you don't want to get as it often includes visible sores.

Fyi, for the first time this year I've declared some income at the tax office and got my TIN.
The process was easy, my tax office asked passport + visa copy / Location contract / Full bank statement of 2024.

They asked me where the money was coming from, I said 'investment selling'. (Don't say poker obviously ... ). The officer asked if it was from crypto and I said yes, he seemed familiar with it.
Then they fill out the form for me and ask me to underline on the statement which transaction was income.
I underline for 183 00THB , they put that in the form at the last category #11 (no idea what it is, it's in Thai), there was a deduction of 60 000.
Total tax owned was 0, they gave me my online identification and my TIN card and I was out.

Total process was about 20 minutes (the office was empty), only annoying part is to get the bank statement, you can only get the last 12 months online.

It's a city with no soul, no culture. So is the Philippines as a whole. What is exactly filipino culture? it's a mix of a bunch of stuff and nothing at all. There are almost no local peculiarities or unique traits that belong to the country itself. Probably hard to develop something that defines you as a nation when your nation is a bunch of different islands and was ruled by every single Empire in the area since forever, to later be branded as 'The Philippines', and be expected to function as a unity.

But in Manila that sight is heightened by 'artificial' places like BGC or Newport located a few blocks away some anonymous, dirt poor barangays crowded by alleys with zero romance, zero charm, unlike those in Thai, Vietnam or anywhere else in SEA pretty much.

I see very few reasons why someone would prefer living there than in BKK. Maybe Manila is more friendly for white people that don't like asian pace and noise too much, especially for US folks that want to live abroad but not really, so they can do BGC and feel like in 'SimCity' NYC for a fraction of what living in NYC would cost.
Or the girls!, that's slightly better in PH because the lack of culture is better than shitty thai culture when it comes to romantic relationships.
Pinays are more open-minded (and kinky) hence more fun to hang out with and date than thai girls.
And finally visa, although now Thailand seems to be more laid back in that regard. But still in PH staying long term is almost as hassle free as it gets. But besides those three things don't see many more why someone would pick PH over TH when it comes to living in SEA.

if your gonna play live poker in thailand(or any similar country really) some good common sense rules:

!. Don't play small stakes(10/20-50/100 baht), the rake will be unbeatable and the games usually awful
2. Be introduced by a trusted player in the game, don't respond to a fb ad from Dodo or someone else.
3. don't ever bring cash, or be at a game with alot of cash present.
4. Don't nit it up or you won't be invited back. winning is ok, folding for 3 hours straight isn't
5. Don't believe what people tell you or what they appear to be. Just because some younger thai person drives a benz wearing a expensive watch doesn't mean he/she is not millions of baht in debt with zero cash to pay their losses. IF you can't google their name and come up with results in english, they probably aren't that rich 555.

Well the game Dodo promotes is or was full of nitregs with the very occasional whale, so there's that. But I don't know the current state of the game. But generally good advice. Also very generally speaking peeps have to understand that the game in Asia or SEA or TH specifically is not like in the US. There are many differences. Also various forms of cheating are rife, yes. Also slowrolling, Asians love slowrolling. And being totally Nazi about string betting, unlike you would ever see in the US. Just to name a few things. Generally if you play regularly in the US pretty much no matter where you are in the US, there's really no reason to get involved, the games are better where you are, trust me, and there are many other things you can do in TH.

Solid advice, but I'd be leaning into advicing to not play live at all in LOS. Simply games arent worth the risk with mediocre game quality and super high rake.
