I'll keep that in mind. Thanks!

I brought one 27" monitor when I first came here. Fairly easy to pack if you already have one. You can also check Lazada Thailand for the type of monitor you want. You'll get the best prices on there, it's kind of like amazon for here.

You plan on filing tax from income you made illegally?

No, I just want to be safe but understand the illegality of online poker in the country. So just want further clarification on the tax process for USD/TBH withdrawals from sites. Thanks for the quick reply

Pretty sure no poker player here pays taxes. Maybe I'm wrong. It's impossible for them to keep track or know where funds are coming from. If you want to be safe don't mention poker to anyone ever.

Btw which sites do you play on? Afaik 888 is the only site that you can deposit/withdraw straight from Thai bank.

Oh ok, and that makes sense. Do you need a side business coverup to avoid suspicion on USD withdraws then? And I play on all sites atm to answer your followup question, I just use crypto, I am here because I am debating a move to Thailand early next year.

What do you mean USD withdraws? From where ? You can't play party, ignition/bodog or Unibet here btw. Most ppl who make money illegally say they have source of funds back in home country.

I play mainly Stars and GG. So a Stars USD withdraw to KBank for example doesn't require any tax concern?

You can't do that. Gotta use player transfer or Skrill.

Ok thanks. So to conclude, it's just a Site->Skrill->KBank (for example) process when a withdraw is needed. Then, claim outside funds source or independent business for the money in that account to avoid the Personal Income Tax?

You're talking about paying taxes to the US or another western country? If you want to pay taxes to Thai government forget about it, no poker player, crypto trader or pretty much any farang working online has done it in the past and I see no real benefit of doing so.

this is the best advice. Don't tell casual girls, your bank, anyone else. You are on a long holiday, and have money because your family has money. Plenty of farang in that spot in thailand or living off investments etc, its not seen as weird.

Inside bars you don’t have to wear masks. Only when entering the bar lol…

But I wanna know if many people wear the masks outside and if you decide to not wear a mask. Will random people bother you?

They had that news piece a few weeks ago about foreigners not wearing their masks outdoors as they are supposed to and that the police were going to crackdown with fines. So giving the police the greenlight to fill their pockets. Never heard anything about it after that.
I swear we're going to be stuck with masks for another year probably. Even if they drop all restrictions I could totally see them keeping mask mandates in place. They love their masks out here.

tons of tourists (and some thais) don't wear masks anymore in phuket outside. even some maskless people in 7-11 nowadays.

in bangkok, 99% of people wear them outside (and of course inside shops).

That sounds great! And you live in Phuket? So basically if you decide to not wear a mask in Phuket no one that will bother you?

I'm in BKK since Monday it's not that bad. I usually wear it on the chin outside, so far nobody bothered me. And most of the places where you typically go or hang out as a westerner you don't have to wear one anyway. Yeah shopping malls and public transport you have to. I mean in BKK it's not a bad idea to wear one outside not because of covid but bcos of the air pollution lol. Great bargains in BKK currently, top hotels very cheap and mostly everything open except some nightclubs but you always find a place that is still open
