There are sex workers in any country in the world and there will always be as sad as it is. Why thailand has a reputation like this is simple, it is what their whole economy is based on.

You should stop to blame tourist and take a deeper look into culture and the real reasons why and how this can happen. The tourists are a part of it but not the only reason.

I will also say what has been said before.

Prostitution is common and a part of society in thailand. The only places where i have seen western tourists is nana plaza soi cowboy and patpong in bangkok. What is that compared to the huge and dozens of massage parlours aimed at asian man and the uncountable bars and karaoke bars discotheks and brothels outside of the tourist areas?

Tourists choose thailand because of what it offers and thailand welcomes them with open arms.

In Asia, seeking the services of 'ladies of the night' is about as routine as going to get a haircut. heck, on the plane toward the Phils, i was sitting next to a Vietnamese guy sitting next to his wife. He was chatting up about massage parlors he will be hitting in his homeland lol

As far as it being immoral, perhaps it is, I'll let the next guy be the judge on that one. Most guys whether they admit it or not, love hookers

I forget which direction it is but they have one way flights for only one way of the trip between Phuket and Chiang Mai.

I.e. there is either a one way flight from chiang mai to phuket or a one way flight from phuket to chiang mai. It runs a couple of times a week iirc. Going the other way you have to stop at suvurnabuhmi.

I found this out via google search a while back so the same info should be easily found.

edit: this was on Thai Airways.

no sight of songkran the last few days. they ought to have a law preventing the mass exodus of entertaiment (thai girls) to their hometowns. bkk is no fun wo them.

We are two, maybe three guys (19 years old) planning on going to Thailand for 3-4 months from October. Got some questions for you guys who are there

1. What does a place around Phuket cost? What we want is an apartment/bungalow with good internet for grinding, close to the beach, tennis court nearby, balcony!/garden, a gym and that it is overall clean. Not looking for anything expensive, just overall clean with 2 bedrooms etc.
2. Anyone here able to help us out finding a place for a reasonable price? Dont want to get scammed/ get a bad deal so yell out if you can.
3. We got a budget of 10k dollars each, and we are also going to grind it out while we are there and we will have an income of 1-2k each per month atleast. Is this enough to live well? By well I mean go out and eat every day at restaurants, party every now and then, go golfing/tennis and all kind of sports, exurcions (spelling?), basically living the life while being there
4. If there is a place better than Phuket? In case where? We dont want to live like in bangkok, but also not too quiet.

1. depends on location and the ballerness of the place mostly. if you want to be near the tourist hells expect to pay around 30-80k baht a month from A place to A nice place. also the period you will be here is over high season and you are staying short time so it will be more expensive because of that fact
2. i am sure there are but you should be here deciding. dont rent a place from internet beforehand.
3. so $10k for 3 months plus around $2k makes your budget around $5k a month? food(apart from foreign food) is really cheap even in restaurants(if you dont want to pay more for fancy chairs and possibly crappier food at more expensive places). all the touristy stuff is obviously overpriced. i know 4 golf courses here so obviously that takes some money. $5k is more than enough though
4. if you dont want to be in big city like bangkok then i think phuket is your choice. what i would do is spend the first few weeks at different locations and then settle down in the place you like the most.

Anyone think investing in a blowjob bar has potential? I know $10k could get me a few points. Could be fun.
