uh, are you not a tourist? lol. I see. I thought might be the case. No worries. I don't think I want a visa to Thailand. I'm shooting for Cambo. Then just visit now and again to Thailand. Same story tho. Cambo not as restricted as Thailand, but not counting on international open travel for at least a month or 2.

Thai girls are getting fat. Not Filipina jobilee sloppy but more % being affected by a "modern" diet.

I have been here past 6 years on multi-entry tourist visas and 3-4 months during summer going back to Europe. And not really sure how those education visas work, but I always thought you need Non-Immigrant Visa from embassy outside of Thailand before you get education visa.

Not really want to fly back to Europe at the end of July as I imagine it will be hard to get back from all the news recently.
I paid my deposit/filled out docs back in February, then corona first delayed then put a halt to the process, but got a message around the last relaxation phase announcement to come to the Immigration with passport. Handed passport and 15k bht to 'change visa', not sure how legit that process is.

purrretrog thanks for info. Interesting. Was it Patong immigration office or Phuket Town?

Gonna take a look around some schools in Rawai and go ask them directly what options are available.

Was in Phuket Town, very quick process, show up, they had all docs ready, I just needed to sign each sheet, took a quick pic, gave the 15k and passport. And was off within 2mins of arriving which was a relief. Told me I would get the passport back at school.

All long term visa issues are handled in Phuket Town. Patong only do simple things, like re-entry, TV extension etc.

That's why I asked about that. If it was done in Patong it would feel lot more sketchy than in Phuket Town.

I'll take your word for it. I guess just do not have enough time there to notice. Or have not been to enough cities to notice a difference. I spent more time in Pattaya then BKK and I honestly did not notice, of course I was not looking either. As long as TH does not have a huge American influence like PH then should not be like a pandemic. PH is fat because they have so much American food there and influence. Jolibee is Filipino, but not American. They have 2 here in Vegas actually. My ex co worker who is Filipino eats there regularly. She is a rail tho. She does not gain weight.

Google is your friend, it’s essentially a % of value added to more desirable currencies(in this case), Thai baht was ******ed for awhile ~4%, so this would be considered a good deal.

As mentioned above I was still in the dark regarding my ed visa a month ago, and just got it filed a few days ago, so I think there is new light in that department, and places offering etc.

you can have ED visa for more than one year? I thought its like 1 year thing only and then you cant apply for another ED visa for life or its extremely unlikely as thai gov pretty much hate us.

Most language schools (if not all) offer two years of visa. Pretty sure hand to hand combat visa offers two years too.

Just meant that the immigration offices have very little to do these days, so no waiting in line, and most things get handled very quickly.
Whether its easier or not to obtain or extend various visa, no idea.

no leave edu visa 32k. 90 day extension of tv/exempt even if no extension available can do 23k, no show 0 hour volunteer visa 50k. all these quoted to me by agents in pattaya in last week

pattaya seems to be the spot then, in bkk the dodgy agents couldn't even extend a 30 day waiver to 60 days for us anymore

some people did get rejected in Laos when applying for their 2nd from a bkk school, some got it but then almost got denied entry at the airport on the way back. getting one where you don't need to leave from pattaya sounds safer

5 South this is what I was talking about.

You do realize Rewket attacked me on 6 platforms including one of my business partners. Also created an account in a racist name and stalked me elsewhere, all from his home IP.

So I'm the craziest person in one of the dirtiest place on the Internet because I defended my business and family while I was taking great risk travelling the world being incredibly honest and making win win situations for all.

Now that I'm a loaded power boss I've decided to live up to my crazy status and unload like I once promised. Good luck 5 South I dont think you have the skills to process this situation so just give it up now and tap out properly without embedded unsolicited advice.

Optimistic imo if we don't have vaccine. Thailand's gov is extremely nitty about covid-19. All these old hi-so people and dinosaur politicians don't want to catch it as that would be gg for them. Last thing they care is 1/3 of thai population living off western money and tourism. All airlines are already flying except thai airways etc. Their own ass will be always more important, its SEA.

Will be interesting how much thai economy will fall. My country is the most nitty in whole Europe and we still had to open because of economy going to ****. Hopefully THB will fall finally.
